ptsd Denied 70% Rating For Ptsd Yesterday
Hi folks, I just got the denial for an increase from 50% to 70% for PTSD. I am really angry and want so much to blast the powers to be for just blowing off what I have gone through and what I still live with today. Because I choose to try and live a somewhat normal life and keep problems to myself and my wife I am not 70%. If I went to the c&p looking like a slob, denied that I do have contact with my sister and her husband it problbly would have made a difference. I intend to follow up on this but I really want to write a letter blasting the raters for being jackasses. Will it do me more harm than good to do so?

General Counsel (022)aid & Attendance Allowance For Improved Pension Purposes
QUESTION PRESENTED: Must the need for aid and attendance be permanent in order to qualify for a higher rate of improved pension? HELD: The statutory provisions in 38 U.S.C. §§ 1502(, 1521(d), and 1541(d), authorizing an increased improved-pension rate for persons in need of regular aid and attendance, do not require that the need be permanent as a predicate to an award of the increased rate. To the extent that the title of 38 C.F.R. § 3.352 suggests that the need must be permanent, that title is inconsistent with the governing statutes and should be re- vised. Increased improved pension based upon the need for regular aid and attendance may be awarded withou…

Saw The Space Shuttel Go Up From My Back Yard
Dear Fellow Veterans & Friends I live 35 miles from Kennedy Space center and can see the shuttel launch very well from my back yard. I again was very disapointed they did not put up a bumper sticker saying www.hadit.com on the shuttel. A veteran today pulled in front of me at Taco Bell and made an appointment with me to talk about his claim. He read the hadit.com (VA claims advice) on the back of my truck. Terry Higgins

diabetes Ao, Diabetes And Your Thyroid
Gotta apologize for the scientific stuff in this but I can't get rid of it . . . If anybody needs the internet medical sources and more info, just let me know. Agent Orange (Dioxin) and thyroid-based/diabetic problems John C. Lowe, M.D. (N.B. The terms T 4, T3 and T2 refer to normal thyroid hormones) "Transthyretin is the protein that transports T4 across the blood-brain barrier. It also transports T3 across. It may transport less, however, because the binding affinity of the receptors within the protein is about ten times less for T3 than for T4. Nonetheless, this protein does indeed transport T3 and T2 into the brain across the blood-brain barrier. However,…

Third Request By Amc - Why?
Hi, Sure could use some help? The AMC told me that the only copies that they have of this Transfer Paper were the two that I sent to them from the Archives. I have been telling the Va. that I requested a transfer out of this duty station to another, but that my early discharge came through first. I had requested my complete adminintrative records from the St. Louis Archives and sent them to the AMC in May and again in July, per their request. Today, I was told by one of the superviors that the lawyers upstairs want me to have the St. Louis Archives fax to them my complete Administrative records and to be certain that this transfer record is enclosed. I…

Terry-will This Help?
http://www1.va.gov/vhapublications/ViewPub....asp?pub_ID=316 This is one of the most recent directives, per NVLSP, on Va nursing home care and eligibility. Also the VA has a CNHC program in which they pay for contractual public or private care. This is a veterans community- we have 3 of these CNHC homes within 7-8 miles of my house- about 25 miles from the VAMC. Our local VA Nursing home is very nice but it seems most patients there are restricted to the VA grounds. Not by law- by either their disability or it is hard sometimes to get a taxi into the town.Actually there are many things that a mobile nursing home vet can do there-there is movie theatre, post …

tdiu Update Claim With R/o Told Decision Can Take 24 Months
Update: I went in yesterday to talk to the NEW (no surprise there) Veteran Rep. in our town yesterday to see what I can do to put in for TDIU status...he was not familiar with my case so he went in to his computer to see what he can find out...he told me that my claim was indeed sent out on the 24th to the R/O for a decision...I told him that when I original sent in the NOD that I specifically asked to have a face to face hearing with the R/O but instead they set me up with the C/P...so when I asked him the time line on how long it would take to hear a decision he told me it could take up to a year to 24 months...and if I went ahead and filed for the TDIU it could hold i…

What Good Does It Do To Receive Your Records From The Archives
I would like to know what good does it do to contact the St. Louis Archives for your administrative records? I did just as I was told by the AMC. Go on line and request your administrative and medical records. I did this twiced and sent them to the AMC. Now they have a copy of a transfer paper to which the R. O never acquired. Now my claim is held up another - XXX year - so that the AMC can get their own copies, I guess to see if they receive the Transfer Paper. If they are lucky, then the archives will leave the lost paper out. Does anyone know the regulation for records. I am doomed if I do and doomed if I don't. Thanks Josephine

ptsd Decision For Ptsd Rating
I just wanted to say thankyou to everyone for all your help on my claim. I couldnt have gotten this far on it without the experts here at hadit. Ive included some of the pages that were in it and scanned them for this. They only used one stressor out of about 10 that I gave them to investigate. The one they used to verify was not even the worst one but, the only one they could verify, and that was only with a buddy statement. So basically the benefit of the doubt was given to me I guess. I noticed on the IU they stated that even though they use the SSA records which were determined with the VAMC records that their two seperate entities and that they have different ways of…

Question On 800#
when you call the 800 # go through the recording and it ask if you are calling to verify the status of your claim and then ask for file # recording comes back " We are not able to access your account at this time." Will you always get this recording? Do you need to talk to some one or will it tell you the status of your claim if you have been rated? So far we have had to always talk to someone and I am just wondering why the recording will ask for the file # and then say we are unable to access your account at this time. If you have to talk to someone about it I would think that they should remove that part. Just my thought, but is that not why we call once in a wh…
