ptsd Helpful Sites
Below are web-sites found that provide information on Veterans benefits and how to file/ask for them. Accordingly, there are many sites that explain how to obtain books, military/medical records, information and how to appeal a denied claim with the VA. Please pass this information on to every Veteran you know. Nearly 100% of this information is free and available for all veterans, the only catch is: you have to ask for it, because they won't tell you about a specific benefit unless you ask for it. ! You need to know what questions to ask so the right doors open for you -- and then be ready to have an advocate who is willing to work with and for you, stay in…

Wont Be Here For A Few Days
Men and women -for 3 years in the 1990s the VA consistently ignored my medical evidence. When my Sec 1151 claim went to General Counsel for a review by top notch VA medical team- the most critical evidence was missing from the c file-when Washington got it-mainly the autopsy.(a few other things too) Good thing I am proactive because I called the VA Wash DC med team who had just denied the claim -thinking no autopsy had been done. That turned around immediately upon their receipt from me of the autopsy-positive proof of malpractice. I had sent it over 10 times to Buffalo and they igored it for 3 years. So- yesterday I found out that my main claim has been tr…

Ftca ,sec 1151 Offset
I recently had to explain the offset provisions of Section 1151 and FTCA to a local veteran- and maybe this BVA case that I used for him will help any one here similiarly situated: http://www.va.gov/vetapp01/files01/0101466.txt "FINDINGS OF FACT 1. Need Listing Of Varo 5 Digit Numbers
I was told that when a veteran calls the 1-800 number for the VA Regional Office, they are requested to enter a five digit number. The extension number they ask for is to connect to a particular regional office. Cleveland, Ohio VARO is #12520. Is there a listing for all of the other Regional Offices? Thank you.

Actions During Appeal
I have submitted and the RO has received (Feb 06) my VA Form 9 for my appeal. The first denial resulted in a SOC that did not address any of the evidence or provide any clues as to why the claim was denied. My DRO review which took only 3 months was a carbon copy of the first denial. My question is would it hurt to send in a statement/letter to the RO while the appeal is just sitting there gathering dust explaining my dismay at the treatment the RO provided to the claim ie.... no reasons or basis, no disucssion of why my evidence was not used/accepted, the lack of a full DRO review and the denial of my 10 requests to have a meeting with the DRO. Or should I just let i…

C&p Repeat?
Just to catch you up to speed, Here's the story and a question... My husband filed 1151 for his toe which was denied and appealed.. He had a C&P on July 17. The NP that did the C&P said he could see the toe did not bend but could not say it would bend previous to surgery and it would probably be best for myself and our daughter to write a letter stating that it would bend. Well, he was going to wait and get a copy of the C&P to see what the NP wrote before we wrote our letters. Oh and he works at the VA as well, so yesterday 7/19 he gets a call from a dr. so and so who tells him he needs to come back to him for more examinations. So he went and then today he …
