tdiu Tdiu Questions
We applied for increases June, 2009. We applied for TDIU in Nov, 2009. According to VARO via phone, we were increased to 80% (combined 70/10). The letter is not received yet and VARO said the digital copy doesnt show anything on TDIU. Does VARO, also decide on TDIU also? Or shall we expect another letter from elsewhere? (We sent in the paperwork from date last worked/last 12 months from our employer.) Do we disqualify for TDIU if we are receiving disability payments; from employers plans that we paid for when we were working? Would start date, if TDIU was granted, start from Nov.09 or increase applied for or date when 70% was granted or retro back to when…

ptsd Tdu Application
I have letters from a neurosurgeon recommending TDIU for my lumbar condition. It is currently at 40%, but I have missed 11 weeks of work on bed rest in the past year due to the condition. My neurosurgeon has recommended an increase to 60% due to that, and I have not previously been diagnosed or claimed cervical spine. He has recommended 30% for that. I took him a copy of Title 38, spine, and he worded the diagnosis exactly as shown in Title 38. He recommended in his medical opinion that I be granted 100% TDU with VA as well as 100% Civil Service Disability Retirement. The condition has already be determined to be service connected. My issue is, I have also recently…

hypertension Sleepless Because Of Seattle
Hi, First, I want to thank everybody who contributes to this site. The information I gleaned from Hadit was the key factor in putting together my claim. I am currently rated at 70% since 1998 (50% bipolar, 10% left knee, 10% right knee, 10% hypertension). I was shot and nearly killed during a robbery in Dec. '04. My friend was killed in the incident. I had 4 subsequent major surgeries to repair the damage, including a colostomy and a colostomy reversal 1 year later. The Physical and emotional trauma has scarred me forever. While recovering, I turned to drinking to escape. Since the shooting I have only been able to work for 6 months total. Now, I am homeless. I dran…

tdiu Tdiu Due To Medications
Hi all, I really need advice and help. I have not worked since 3/2/09 due to workers comp for shoulder injury, just had surgery will be out until June 10. In april 09, I was placed on Morphine for neck pain, and have been on since. In early Nov. my dose was increased to 45mg three times daily. Now, my question I work as a registered nurse and to do so under the influence of a narcotic violates state regulated guidelines for RN's. I am not a good candidate for surgery and cannot function without the pain meds. Is this something that qualifies for a TDIU claim. Thank you, Bergie

ptsd What Type Of Doc Should Write An Letter For Ptsd Tdiu?
I'm 70% for ptsd. Does the letter have to come from a shrink or could my family doctor write the letter since he has a copy of my last C&P and has read it? Also, my last C&P was in January of 2009, would I have another one or could they still use the last one?

ptsd Doc Letter For Tdiu
OK. I am 70% for PTSD. I go to the vet center once in a while and see a counselor. The last time I was there I told him I did not think that I could work any more. He told me to see a VSO about TDIU. Now I need to know if I need a letter from him, or from a shrink or if my family doc would work. If it needs to be a shrink, can it be a Ph D counselor or does it need to be an MD? Should I just get a letter from my family doc and then they will have me see a shrink for a C&P? I had a C&P in January of 2009 with a GAF of 41. My family doc has a copy. If he wrote a good letter and made reference to this exam could I avoid another C&P?

Form 21-4192
I just got a standard packet in the mail for my IU claim, and a request for evidence for two other things I had put in a claim for that are secondaries. This packet had copies of 6 of these forms (21-4192). "Request for employment information in connection with disability benefits." Is it up to the veteran to send these out to their former employers or is this some kind of error, and I wasn't suppoto get these. It looks to me like it is a form for the employer/VA to fill out. Been on SSD since jan 08, and they have all that info. I'm confuzzled.

Retiree Pay Or Va Payy Before Crdp
How did the VA compensate retirees 100% IU before CRDP? I always thought the vet would get one or the other pay, not both. And if the VA was more, the Vet gave up retiree pay. Sawdust for brains here, CG
