tdiu Iu Vs Tdiu
Hello Vets, If I understand correctly IU means your disabilities are rated at 100%, and TDIU means that your disabilities are rated between 60-90% and due to these disabilities you are unable to find employment. So my question: If you are granted TDIU is there still a reason or benefit to continue to try and get you disability rating increased to the 100% level? I'm rated 60% effective Dec 09 retro back to 2004, but have not worked since June 2000. Was awarded SSI in 2002 retro back to 2000. I have applied for TDIU, and have some secondary issues to my rated disability that I could persue. I just wondered if there was a resaon to go thru the headache. My cuu…

ptsd Denied Iu
I am happy that I was granted 50% for PTSD and am now at 80%. I don't want to complicate the situation but here I go. I was refused IU because the examiner for my C&P said I could do sedentary type work. I told this person that I could sit at a desk for 10 min and then take a 20 min break. I stated that I could not sit for longer that 10 min at a time because of PTSD issues. I also said that no one except a family member would put up with that situation and I didn't have a family member that had a business and would hire me. I told the nurse I was unable to do sedentary work. I said if I could do that type of work I would still be working at my old job. I am f…

tdiu Out Of The Rating Board To The Final Board?
i called the va yesterday and the fellow said my tdiu claim was out if the rating board and at the final board? any idea on how long this may take? lastly like so many other folks i am very nervous and anxious to get this over with one way or the other. i am rated at 90% with ratings totaling 170% by real math. the va psych said "it as least as likely as not that this veteran is incapable of obtaining or maintaining gainful employment due to the severity of his mental and emotional problems at this time" and "it is as least as likely as not that this veterans OCD and major depressive order are directly related to his military service and the manner i…

ptsd Can I Cue This?
I was awarded 50% for PTSD (was already 50% for AO stuff) total 80% and applied for TDIU and was denied. I just received a copy of my C file and noticed that my 50% on PTSD was set for a follow up on 7/2010 which is the date my Psychiatrist put on a form for California disability which asked for the earliest possible return to work date. So, the VARO had that form when they granted my 50% on PTSD, shouldn't they have also taken that same info to grant me TDIU until at least 07/2010? Is this something that I can CUE?

ptsd I Need Advice. Va Mix Up And Now Another C&p?
---------------- The above post was my last a few months ago while I was awaiting a decision to be made on my letter of disagreement regarding my denial of IU. I'm very confused and not sure what the heck the VA is doing. I received a letter from the Va 1/14 stating that I am scheduled for another C&P for my RIGHT shoulder. WTF.....I dont have a problem with my right shoulder. In fact I injured my left shoulder but that is currently at 0% and the C&P mentioned above included psych and a medical exam for my LEFT shoulder with xrays, etc. The prblem I have is with anxiety and PTSD and coping, etc. They didn't answer the problem which was their mistake on wh…

tdiu Getting Started
I am currently at 80% disability for depression, kidney disease and chronic back pain. I have been at 80% since my discharge in 2005. My dr at the VA told me on Wednesday the 30th of December that I will never have a pain free day for the rest of my life. He told me that I was a 'at-risk' for falling since I fell four times last year. I am supposed to be going this Wednesday, the 14th of Jan for a power mobility chair, (scooter). I am currently having to work due to finances but I want to see if I can qualify for unemployability but I don't know where to start....I know I gotta not be working for the first step.... I work each and every day in severe pain and spend …

tdiu Tdiu P&t But With Future Exam Scheduled
Hi all, Right before christmas my husband and I went to get our ID cards from Fort Jackson in Columbia, SC. It was an interesting event in that the letter the va sent me to obtain the id cards wasn't good enough. It said I was 90%, which I am, and it didn't list that I was entitled to commissary priviledges. the lady there told me that the letter had to say certain things and she gave me a copy of the letter the varo in columbia had just, that day, faxed over so they would know what it would look like. Apparently they had changed the form of the letter after I had received mine. The funny thing is, my letter and the knew form letter said exactly the same thing, word for…
