Question

What do you say? Unemployed? Disabled? Retired? On government assistance? Government aid? Just wondering how to say it without saying it. What's a neutral friendly response?

Thanks all, your freindly Hadit Cowgirl Question of the week~ !

Cg'up2009!

P.s. Few times responded to what my job is, or where do I work. Cautious to say I'm retired or have VA disabilities.

CG if you receive SSA/SSDi/VA comp then you are oficially retired. That is all they need to know.

I get it all of the time. I am retired, then I get how old are you? I say old enough to retire.

It is no ones business but yours.

You can also tell them you are an artist.

People used to ask its part of polite conversation. I pretty much would say that I was lucky enough to be able to retire. They move on to other stuff. If you say you are getting disability you will get a lot more questions trust me.

Good Luck

I agree with Jbasser once you are p/t or IU then you are retired, I would say that and leave it at that.

Yep, I know some disabled vets that will tell everyone their disabled but I don't go that route. To me, it's none of anyone's business and I keep it at that.
