  1. Thanks Donna for your reply, I provided my marriage documents to the VA Rep while I was doing my retirement physical while Acap processing, no biggy I will provide them again. I was granted my Social Security Benefits in 2011 due to my Service Connected Disabilities.Donna, I got injured while on active duty on July 2007 and was keep off work until Aug 31, 2010 when I retired. I have not worked since 2007, when I got injured I was keep on a Permanant profile unable to work as a Recruiter due to being blind from my left eye, the military didn't want me to drive a government vehicle because I was to much of a liability so I was sent home for 3 years until I retired. Donna,I hoping to get paid my retro pay because I am very close to losing my home due to not being able to work and earn a living. I do have a doctors report that states that I am disable and unable to work due to my other service connected disabilities, these documents have already been provided to the VA, once again I don't have a problem submitting them again. Thank you so very much Donna for the information. God Bless.
  2. Ok, I need some help here. I was in Notification Stage this morning, then went to Review of Evidence again, but I looked at Ebenefits and they put me at 90% but didn't dot the P or T. Then I went to VA letters and it says. This letter certifies that Domingo Aguilar is receiving service-connected disability compensation from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Gross Benefit Amount $1661.00. This is for a single person, but I'm married, then it says Effective Date March 1,2012. I was under the impression that I would be back dated from the day after I retired which was Sept 1, 2010. My question is, will they retro pay from the day after I retired or what? As for the dependant problem I can send them my marriage certificate not a problem. Why would they give me a 90% and send me back to Review of Evidence? And what will happen with my Unemployablity since I am already receiving my social security, plus I haven't seen anything as for the SMC since I lost my left eye sight while in the Military, is this the reason they sent it back to Review of Evidence to correct these unanswer questions. I know this seems like alot of questions, please forgive me but I'm just confuse about it all. Thanks, and any information will be greatly appreicated. Agiie.
  3. Oops sorry NJ, I meant, Thanks for the reply, sorry blind from left eye and sometimes I make mistakes. LOL.
  4. Thanks for the info NJ, I've been back to review of evidence twice already, so it wouldn't surprise me if it happens again, at this point I'm not even crossing my fingures anymore. It will get here when it gets here. Thanks fir the reoly.
  5. Reddit: That be under VA letters? Thanks
  6. Well, Finally went to Notification Stage after 18 months, I've been waiting a long time for this, now I just hope they do me justice and give me what I rate, Nothing More! Does anyone have an idea how long it will take before I actually get something in the mail or a post on ebenifits? A big thanks to everyone all on this site for all your help and expertise on all subjects.... Aggie54

  8. Congrads, happy to see that things are going well for you. I am also prior Marine Corps. Semper Fi. Oh by the way, where do you go on ebenfits to see the Letter Generator?
  9. I am so glad for you. I really need help. I started my claim with the VA on May of 2010. They posted it on Ebenefits on July 25, 2010. I retired from the Military on August 31,2010 spending over 23 years of active years plus several years of Reserve time.. I suffered several service connected injuries while in the Military to include blindness of my left eye. All of my disabilities are service connected and all documents have been sent to the VA. Most of my disabilities have been and continue to be treated by the VA. I have been granted my Social Security Benefits due to my service connected disabilities. I am and have been in the pre-dicision stage since July 2011, could anyone out there please give me some advise on what to do next? On July of 2011 I also sent the VA a letter of Hardship due to being in danger of losing my home. I was told by the VA to send them the letter and they would try to rush the process, but as I can clearly see that it really didn't make a difference, I just don't know what to do next. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
  10. I am so Happy for you and your Family Merry Merry Christmas. Mine has also been in the works since July 2010, and still in Decision stage' Thank you for your service Brother.
  11. Thank you Berta for all the hard work you put forth to keep us advised on the Camp Lejeune Waters. I for one just recieved a Health Survey from the ATSDR Health Survey of Marine Corps Personnel and Civilians. Looks like it's going to take awhile to complete this, for it has over 26 pages of questions. And it looks like it has to be turned in before the end of the month. Once again thank you.
  12. Happy to hear that everything is going well for you. Don't give up on the SSD issue. I retired from the Military last Aug 2010. I put in my claim to the VA, it's been 16 months since, I also applied for SSD and after being denied once, my lawyer put in an appeal and I was granted within 7 months of filing. Social Security does work faster than the VA. Hopefully I will also have some good news before the Christmas Holidays. Sempre Fi:
  13. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARINE... I'M SO GLAD TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR GOOD NEWS. I ALSO APPLIED FOR SSD AND WAS GRANTED. THEY WORKED FASTER THAN THE VA. JUST KEEP IT UP AND YOU WILL GET BOTH. I AM STILL WAITING ON THE VA ON MY RATING, ITS BEEN 16 MONTHS SINCE CLAIM WENT IN. GOOD LUCK. SEMPER FI..
  14. USNDW,I am so glad for you.I have a question for you. I retired from the Army last year after going blind to my left eye while being an active duty Recruiter. I was working and suddently i had a sharp pain in my eye and evently went blind. I was sent home due to not being able to drive a government car and or oickup potential soldiers. Anyway I tried to file a claim for TSGLI and was disaproved, dont know why, I was working when it happened. I even have a sworn statement from a fellow Recruiter stating what happened.Do you have any advise for me on what to do. I understand it's it $50.000 for the lost of one eye. Any input would be greatly appreicated. Thamks.
  15. Berta, thank you so much for the information you sent me on Camp Lejeune. Just got done reading from the website you sent. You are such a nice person taking the time to help others. Thank you.
