    Still no movement on ebennies. Yesterday I called 800# and told them I just wanted a status update. The lady tells me, the only thing she can say is that I'm in the Notification phase and I should know something within 18 days from Oct 31st. I don't know why I even called the 800# anyway cause I don't trust their word with a grain of salt. But, I'm hoping she's right and I hear something soon. The suspense is killing me!! I hope everyone else is getting some kind of progress.

    I got a letter the first week of Jan saying mine needed sent in no later than Feb 1st. I faxed them the form on Jan 22 (after I called 3 times begging for the form to be sent, but never got it). I called back to make sure they got it and it was in the computer and was told it was. March 1st my check was cut by 2/3 cause VA says their computer system didnt recognize it. Its taken me 9 months to get this taken care of and it still isnt fixed. My advice is, make sure you print that form out every year and send it in certified mail. I dont ever want to see another veteran go through what I've had to deal with over this form. If there's a way for the VA to screw ya (even if you do your part 100%) they will!!! Just please....get them that form!! Good luck to you all!

    thanks navy wife, they are screwing me, but they will NEVER get one of my sons if I can help it at all. I will sacrifice everyting I dont need, to get my sons into college, or a good tech school so they dont have to join the millitary like I did. Alot of other vets feel the same way that ive spoken with. If this country continues to screw over its soldiers, it will have nobody to do its fighting anymore, and then you know what happens, syria happens, egypt happens, mexico happens, civil unrest runs rampant. it can happen to us. the soldiers turn against the govt, nd factions develop, then all out mutiny.

    I have 3 sons and I feel the same way about them going into the military. I want them to have more opportunities than I had. Plus all 3 have the brains that I didn't have. One is already in college and wrestles for Penn State and the other 2 are still in high school. And the baby is a girl and I'll be damned if she goes anywhere near a recruiter!!

    I hate to hear you've been through all that.

    It's hard not to worry since everything is riding on this decision but I agree with that, were very fortunate to have the %'s we do have and blessed with family and a few select friends. Good luck to you Aggie! I hope you don't have to wait much longer.
