  1. This is grand. As I can attest from personal experience that this is the type of crap that goes on in order to deny treatment and benefits to vets. There is hope yet.
  2. I agree with most. JMHO you will drive yourself nuts if you pay attention to that. Speaking from experience. Try to take up some hobbies or concentrate on making your conditions better. if you are concerned gather your evidence and find the loopholes in your claim and make it air tight. If they can't outright deny they, the VA will lowball the claim guaranteed. Make friends with the 38 CFR get to know it and argue your case with the evidence and regs. Come NOD time if needed you'll be ready. Good luck.
  3. A Win for one is a win for all. Congratulations. Take care of yourself.
  4. Either way enjoy the win my friend. Take a deep breath and relax for a moment. perseverance. All the way man. Till your last breath. Keep fighting and take care. Congrats.
  5. Ha Ha! Workers Comp needs to partner up with the VA evil doers. They play the same game. They will fall together. They underestimate my resolve and me following through to fight to the end. Fighting till my last breath.

  6. Just for kicks I looked at my status on Ebennies. Estimated completion date of one of my claims is Dec of 2015. One of my fully developed claims estimated completion date January of 2016. It is all a little ticker to drive Veterans crazy. The hamster wheels are speaking loud.
  7. Take it with a grain of salt. This process at any step is everything but fast. The thick brown envelopes are the real tell tale of the process of your claim. JMO
  8. Look at it this way, they can consolidate all they want, mix it up and give a new color give it a new name or process and what not, it's the same shannanagans and elephant turds, remember and document with a big red x on the effective date you put in your claim for each condition. It will be FUBARED, mark my words. That is one thing we can count on. Be ready ahead of time. Effective dates, dates of entitlement, date of increases, and schedule changes are going to be problem areas and will ensue a plethora of new appeals already in the system.
  9. So interesting, VA throwing numbers out and wheeling and dealing. Curious indeed!

  10. Can't say I have tried it personally, not endorsing, of course to each his or her own, but wonder how much worse it can be. Lung cancer or destroyed liver and or kidney's , but pain relief, hmm at least it makes me wonder. Not really an option for me right now but a curious one at the least.
  11. Folks remember this as this has happened to myself and countless others. If you go the undiagnosed illness route be weary, once diagnosed the VA says oops so sorry charlie dianosis no compensation. NEXT! Get a careful review of your SMR's, private, and VA records, you will need this continuity in order to get this service connected under " cluster of symptoms of undiagnosed illnesses resulting in at least a level of 10% compensable before 2016, its a booger, have a diagnosis do not pass go and no collecting $200.
  12. Speaking from my experiences the docs will most likely look at that nerve conduction velocities and the latency response times. Also I would think they would order another EMG exam to verity the conditioning worsening and ask you if you would like the procedure done. if approved I would ask for the endoscopic, less mess, less expensive, less recovery time and almost no visual scars compared to the open method, oh and did I mention no cast time versus over two months in a cast and a month of physical therapy, plus and lastly, considerably less pain versus the open method.
  13. Battle plans and sharpening my K Bar, fear is amiss

  14. Hope is all and good at times, however, there comes a time where words and cheap promises can do no more. Actions, change, repercussions, liability and sweet justice is what kicks the VA's wrongdoing in the mouth.
  15. At times that can be all you have, however, it's consistent pressure and not taking lightly the injustice that happens.
  16. The saying " you can talk the talk, but can you walk the walk" it definitely will be a monumental task, but if he is truly wanting change and is looking out for the true customer of the VA, the veteran and their families, then I'm all for the guy. I just want accountability. Fulfillment of what the VA's mission is supposed to be. Hopefully this is the start of positive changes in decades long injustice that has been dished out to injured and disabled vets.
  17. Orders have always been there, I think now with the new limelight they are slowly being implemented and followed. Hopefully the new sheriff in town will make the necessary changes, however, realize it's agonizingly slow to get rid of all the rotten apples. Rome wasn't built in a day, I think if memory serves me right it was only from rising above the ashes did the mighty nation attain its might.
  18. Going crazy not being able to fly my RCs among other things.

  19. Pain is weakness leaving the body,...at least that is what I keep telling myself.

  20. Berta thanks for the response. No my right arm surgery has to do with my federal job as an aircraft mechanic. Sadly this is surgery number six between both hands and i have one left for the left arm. It is a workers comp thing unfortunately, however, sadly they are moving faster on my claim than the VA. It only took me a year and a half to get that straightened out. I have forwarded the info and copies of both the original and altered documents to my attorney, I am just flabbergasted at the audacity and blatant sabatoge that happened here. But I think someone royally screwed up leaving the original and altered file in my records. I don't know what made me look at them again but I was reviewing them for a claim I had placed for anxiety and depression. And like a Mac truck it hit me, and I was like holy humpty dumpty batman someone cracked the egg here. I am trying to go through my files but its difficult to do with one hand and being loopy with the meds from the pain pump. I wonder what else I can find if I keep digging.
  21. In a strange twist of fate, as my right arm is in a splint temp cast, I've been looking through my records to pass time as I can't fly my RC s while in this temp cast. Although I won't get into the specifics of what was omitted, I have come across two documents which have been altered and are missing the physician's notes. I have been diagnosed with anxiety and depression since 2010. Private docs even mention possible PTSD, however , in the VA copy of my Cfile those hand written notes are omitted, actually covered up in white as if purposely trying to hide something. I kept looking and found that my LOD for anxiety and depression had two copies. One with hand written notes and the other with the same exact information except the hand notes were not there. WTFO. Did someone who was trying to alter my documents screw up and leave the original and altered records still in the file? Curious indeed. I forwarded the info to my attorney, but it looks like I am going to have to go through my file a couple of dozen more times and see what else has been doctored up. Scandalous indeed. PS Did I mention how hard it is to type with one hand. : ) This cast thing for 8 weeks is gonna suck big ones.
  22. Today even with a pain pump and a few demerol still hurting like an SOB.

  23. Surgery went well, hurting but it could be worse
