Is it possible this is retaliation for filing for P and T? This is exactly why I haven't filed for secondary physical conditions tied to my PTSD.
-
Congratulations!
-
SAd but he lived a good life.

I requested a new PCP and thought there may be reprucussions but there weren't. They ask you why you want to switch, just keep it simple And not personal.

The GAF score of 51 I think indicates 50-70. There is a world of difference in VA thinking between a GAF of 49 and 51. Although I thought they weren't supposed to use GAF scores anymore.

PtSD is a specific illness diagnosed by the American Psychological Association along with many other illnesses. My dad has 3 Bronze Stars from Vietnam and bad memories but he does not have PTSD.
PTSD is a specific reaction some people have to trauma and that reaction varies between individuals based on a variety of factors from genetics, childhood, and effective early intervention.
some are resilient some aren't. Some get severe PTSD from a single car accident, some like my father don't get PTSD after months in war. Not all PTSD is from war some is from childhood abuse, some from sexual assault, some from being a victim of violent crime.

Congratulations and hope the official answer comes soon.

Sounds like you were just trying to keep them informed. Sounds like the Voc Rehab person may be burned out on their job.
-
Good luck and stay strong.

Congratulations! And retro is not taxed.

doesn't sound too promising. You may be better off going through a c and P but your personal doctors note would still be in there.

If he didn't file for the depression initiaally he can file it as secondary to the hearing loss.
-
With the denied suicidal homicidal ideation you may not get 100% but who knows

Do they have a PRRC program at your VA.VA. It stands for Psycho Social Renabilitation Center it has helped me a lot. You have to be referred to the program.
-
Congratulations but also take care of yourself these are some awful conditions.

I have a 3 year review of my case. I've heard it's bad if you don't get a 5 or 7 year review. Still grateful and relieved.
Had to go to the ER while visiting my mom had a severe Panic Attack, they said due to stress of visit. They gave me Xanax and said Klonopin is too weak for me.

On the Bible Classes you said you attended a few, did you not complete them because it was too stressful or difficult? Did you fail to complete assigned tasks? This information could help your SSDI case.

Social Security Continuing Disability Reviews are automatically scheduled with your approval. They are usually scheduled at 6 month, 12month, 18 month, or 3,5, or 7 year intervals and are designed to see if your disability has improved. On your award letter it should state when your review is scheduled.

Good to know, thanks.

I'm on Southwest side of Albuquerque. At the VA almost everyday in the Psych Rehab Center or at the smoke shack by the bus stop.

How long before your next review of SSDI benefits per your award letter? 3 years or more you should let VA know.
