Thanks Pete992.

It definitely sounds like you should get treatment, whether you should file since you're already 100% P&T I'll leave to the experts.

OK the good news as you know is you can receive free counseling and treatment for STD's even as an OTH veteran if the VA determines you experienced an MST.
the bad news you have to show that the MST assault so affected you that you were willing to carry out a serious criminal act.
bad news 2 is convincing the VA that you as a man could have been a victim of MST by a woman. If she as an NCO coerced you into sex using her authority you have a chance, but a straight up sexual assault is very difficult to prove as a male.
you also need to show the PTSD is related to the MST not your legal problems.
Good luck, you have an uphill battle.

The rules have changed recently on MST. If you were active or guard/reserve and the MST was committed by a member of the Military you should qualify. However if you did not report the incident at the time there must be "Markers" to prove the MST occured and that it affected you. I would contact Protect our Defenders or Vet Wow to get more informed.
I know someone who was just denied MST because she lacked credible markers or evidence.

I just filed for herd/ibs secondary to PTSD even though I'm 100%. I was advised to do so by a state Val rep. I know this may put me up for a review of my PTSD as well but he said it was the smart thing to do.

What is HTN Service-Connection?
-
It is true that only service-connected veterans may receive VA healthcare if you served less than 2 years. Establishing service-connection for Gulf War Syndrome or some other issue is necessary for you. I assume you recieved a general discharge under honorable conditions?

Since you've graduated what kind of job have you found? Doing well academically does not guarantee a successful job/career.

I always recommend people applying for SSDI watch the YouTube videos by zjonathan Ginsberg and Anthony Reeves they are very informative videos.

Firefighters and cops tell gruesome jokes to deal with the stress of their jobs but a social worker should no better especially sending this in email form

Congratulations. Take a week to think about your options on the additional claims.

In New Mexico the law says just100%, but the New Mexico Department of Veteran Services told me you need to be P and T.

Welcome and congratulations on your retirement.

All I can recommend is do your own research. You can become a strong self advocate by going through the internet and being able to tell the psychiatrist what side effects you are concerned about.

I would look it up online. Do you file for the clothing allowance like a regular claim for compensation?
-
Congrats but you're tore up from head to toe. Take care of yourself.
-
Congratulations. Do you think you'll get any retro?

Maybe a 70 with the hospitalizations.
