  1. OK the good news as you know is you can receive free counseling and treatment for STD's even as an OTH veteran if the VA determines you experienced an MST.

    the bad news you have to show that the MST assault so affected you that you were willing to carry out a serious criminal act.

    bad news 2 is convincing the VA that you as a man could have been a victim of MST by a woman. If she as an NCO coerced you into sex using her authority you have a chance, but a straight up sexual assault is very difficult to prove as a male.

    you also need to show the PTSD is related to the MST not your legal problems.

    Good luck, you have an uphill battle.

  2. The rules have changed recently on MST. If you were active or guard/reserve and the MST was committed by a member of the Military you should qualify. However if you did not report the incident at the time there must be "Markers" to prove the MST occured and that it affected you. I would contact Protect our Defenders or Vet Wow to get more informed.

    I know someone who was just denied MST because she lacked credible markers or evidence.
