IM JUST SAYING THAT IF YOU TOOK A COLLECTIVE VOTE ON HOW MANY PEOPLE USE THEM NOWADAYS ANDWHAT THERE WORTH IS COMPARED TO A WEBSITE LIKE THIS OR AN ATTORNEY... 5. FROM A WASHINGTON POST ARTICLE ABOUT ALLISON: At the end of last year, between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day, about a dozen suicidal veterans e-mailed her, some threatening to take their lives if they did not get their benefits, she recounted. She addressed each one personally, she said, calling in therapists and personally checking on each of the cases. “Everyone in my inbox is alive today,” she said. Hickey said she receives hundreds of e-mails a week from veterans and tries to answer all of them, although sometimes this means e-mailing in the middle of the night. “Many have stories that would make you cringe — I hear them all the time. I am glad they make me uncomfortable, break my heart, keep me awake at night and even, at times, bring me to tears. It has spurred me to action on their behalf,” Hickey told cadets during her speech.

  7. FREE_SPIRIT,,,, i was scared to email her as well. but, today is my daughters birthday and i had just had enough of seeing success stories in this post. i felt that my issues were to simple and that any day know they will be solved. the thing was is, they were so simple to understand and i was so 100% correct about the va failure that it only took 4 hours for them to be figured out after the email was sent. i waited 6 months for retro on my daughter because of a computer gliche that no one found untill today. i knew i was right but didnt want to bitch though i was dam well owed money. and now its coming. also, there is no reason to be rude to a veteran from the va call centers at the records department. today i got an apology that goes far to me in my books. how many times they have been rude and i did nothing about it because i felt like i couldnt...................name / date / get it next time you call the va for anything. point out that you know Allison hickeys email address and you would like a real response to your questions
  8. EMAIL YOUR CONGRESS PERSON. TELL THEM THEY NEED TO HIRE MORE PEOPLE AT THE VA TO FIGURE THIS SHIT OUT... SO YOU CAN GET YOUR QUESTIN ANSWERED IMMEDIATLEY !!!!!!!!! I WOULD ONLY USE THE EMAIL TO ALLISON AFTER ALL THINGS ARE EXHAUSTED AND IF I KNOW IM 100% CORRECT IN THE FAILURE OF THE VA
  9. How Many Vets Are Using Hadit.com ? In My Opinion Vets Do Not Need Vso's. What They They Need Is A Case Worker Who Works For The Va Who Is Compassionate And Has Real Answers For The Vet. This Case Worker Will Provide A Pre-Warning To A Denial So That It Isnt Completely Denied And Allow The Vet To Answer Questions Or Provide Evidence. I Strongly Believe Through The Amount Of Veterans Allison Hickey Has Already Helped In One Day Of Her Emails That If Give The 1700 + 578 People She Asked Congress For But They Denied She Could Get This Done.... Call To Arms !!!!!! Call Your Congress Persons And Get Allison What She Needs !!!!! We Dont Need Vso's We Need Caring Case Workers At The Va. And Give Them A Shot With Allison On There Backs !!!!!! If We Have The Numbers Here At Hadit.com I Think We Can Get This Done !!!!!!
  10. I NEED TO POST THIS HERE AS WELL.... THERE ARE SOMETHINGS WE DONT EVER TALK ABOUT SO PLEASE ,,,, IF WE WANT CHANGE AND WE ARE ALL SCARED OF THE EMAILS BEING SHUT DOWN TAKE A LOOK AT THIS AND PLEASE CALL YOUR CONGRESS PEOPLE...\ I TRUST HER TO USE THE PEOPLE CORRECTLY BECAUSE OF WHAT SHE HAS ALREADY DONE IN ONE DAY FOR SO MANY OF US VETERANS HERE IN THIS TOPIC SO GIVE HER A CHANCE WITH MORE WORKERS !!!!!!!! Thank you for this good, kind and thoughtful note. I genuinely appreciate it. I am looking at the idea of the case managers in the ROs but need more people to do that still. I requested 1700+ people last summer in the choice act but Congress didn’t give it to me. I also know that if we wanted to make sure that every Veteran got through the call centers and that I could also build in experienced staff into the call centers for more difficult issues – it would take another 578 people – which I will say outloud to anyone who will ask. We need more people to take care of you all the way you need and deserve and frankly the way we can sustain for our hard working employees who are working way too much Overtime. Get the word out – Congress needs to help us 1700+ 578! That’s a small bill to pay to take care of 22 million living Veterans. Allison http://www.house.gov/representatives

  12. i would like to share that , through an email i sent today i was gratefully called by responsive and professional, personable people at the va. they heard my concerns and processed my concerns. I have been dealing with the VA since 2004 and this Felt absolutely GREAT !!!!!! i felt like someone herd me and wanted to handle my issues....
  13. actually now that you mention it,,, the c+p exam doesn't really read like that. it shows that i have forward flexion of 10 degrees with pain so thats what they went on. he never mentioned when this 10 degrees started. but i dont have any other exams till that date stating forward flex at that. the others say 90 degrees. my point was they were all not doing the correct degrees of movement but i cant ever prove that also this Dr. finally seen me during one of my worst days and the previous i assume didn't.?
  14. wondering if anyone can tell me your thoughts. i was denied S/C in 2005. the reason for my denial was no service records at all could be found if they are later found then they will review again i did not appeal this. in 2009 they found my service treatment records and granted me 10% for lumbar strain. i immediately put in a NOD. they said they received my NOD and they also said they are working for my increase of lumbar strain. (confusing) DRO in 2011 says no increase is possable i appealed this to same time frame inside the nod time frame. june 2011 another c+p was done and they awarded me 40% effective date as of the date of C+P exam. i said that im ok with this 40% but not ok with the effective date because this is new and material evidence put towards and original grant of service award that was re-opend during an appeal period. they said that i am actually creating a new appeal because i was granted an increase. my point is,,,, the 10% awarded was an original grant of service for lumbar strain in wich i always said no it is a lot worse than that. within this appeal period i was granted 40% on my original award but they said that was a new award to an increase. they did pay me retro for the 10% back to the original date of claim 2004 but keep telling me that there was no time my c+p DOc said it was any worse than that.
  15. yeah just sucks because an emg was never done. i have complaints in the record of numbness and 1 doctor stated that i suffered from severe radiculopathy after the mri results but before the mri docs just say that there is no radicular symptoms though of course i tell them but they always have forgoten to write this in any report..
  16. Can the level of nerve impingement dictate the rating of Radiculopathy? my question is because i have been rated at 10% for mild the reason they gave me this is because no Dr. has ever stated to what severity i have... my mri shows/states moderate severe disk bulged the traversing nerve and i have moderate/severe forminal narrowing of the same nerve root. my thoughts is that isnt it exceptable and understandable that the level of severity would be dictated by the level of impingement ?
  17. carlie --- my SC is 40% lumbar strain DJD..... then 10% left and right radiculopathy.
  18. Free_Spirit // you mentioned low back strain and hip strain in service at the same time?If so, it seems very odd that they gave you SC for the back strain, but denied SC for bilateral hip strain that occurred at the same time on the basis that ONE/////// yes this always confused me as well. the reasoning for the lumbar strain SC they said because i showed a diagnosis in service and residuals after service with-in a year. well,, my question was always ummm my hips show same thing ??? also yes, the Dr note from childhood doesnt say that in 1999 i was suffering at that time from hip only that he performed a procedure on my knee... so great point that his note could also provide evidence that i had not sought any treatment for my hip since childhood and that must show that the hip was fine. UNTIL SERVICE AFTER SERVICE. ASK_NOD///// THANK you for giving me a clearer picture on the Wilson vs. Derwinski........ how it applies to 3.303 (a) FANTASTIC !!!!!!!!!!! Im not aware of what my symptoms where when i was an infant/youngster i do not recall any pain on movement in either hip But im quite aware of what they where in the service and since and why i sought out treatment in service and after.
  19. THIS MIGHT INCREASE THE NUMBER OF SERVICE CONNECTED VETERANS BUT IT WILL ALSO INCREASE THE TRUST OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE SO THAT DURING A TIME OF WAR A DRAFT WILL NOT BE NECESSARY...WE CAN TRUST OUR VETS WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF!!!!!!!! THIS MIGHT SCARE ALL THE OTHER VETS THAT FEEL AS IF THE BENEFITS WILL STOP ONCE THE COUNTRY IS BROKE BUT AT LEAST WE WILL ALL BE IN THE FIGHT NOT JUST THE VETERANS WHO HAVE JOBS AT THE VA
  20. congress should push for the DBQ to be paid for by the money the va gets for the C+P exams. and veterans should have a choice to get a DBQ from a privately found Doc or a veteran Doc.. at the end of every budget year it should be looked at as to how many vets chose the private over va doc and the budget for the C+P exam should then be adjusted... NO MORE MILLIONS GOING TO C+P EXAMS THAT ARE BIAS AGAINST THE VETERANS
  21. leading questions to what they are told will be denying points. like if the patiant experiences pain but does not experience fatigue. how the hell can a 8 minute exam find out if the patient has fatigue . puts it in subjective evidence but in objective says NO. thes exams should be deemed bias and not helpful by all the veteran organizations. then we should all be allowed to get paid for imo/ime from any doc of our choice. if the true value of this expensive entitlement is that they look out for veterans then why do 90% of veterans claim that the C+P exams are not done legit... why do one day the va medical Dr. do an evaluation and state severe range of motion pain and then the next day a C+P Doc say has no range of motion problems and cannot objectively state pain with fatigue.... i dont get why we the citizens we who are veterans are paying our tax money for the C+P doctors. our mothers and fathers and siblings pay taxes for this as well but yet these exams are so biased and never result in a real exam. they should be shown in congress for what they really are
  22. strange but im confused again : my claim is for bilateral hip condition hip pain. i was diagnosed with hip strain both hips.....ok they say that i had prior leg perthes disease of left hip.....but they do nothing to accept or deny for hip strain bilateral... they just keep coming back with diagnosed with prior left leg perthes disease....... they never mention the fact that i was diagnosed with a new problem since service called hip strain. no doctor has ever said that my hip strain is do to leg perthes so what gives..... i never claimed leg perthes for a contention....
  23. if his superiors did not recognize the signs and symptoms of maybe he had PTSD and didnt treat him then shouldnt they the ones who were responsible for him be blamed for him leaving his post and then the loss of life that was encountered from trying to get him back ?
  24. i got another question... BERGDAL CASE...... lets for a moment say that bergdahl left his post while suffering from PTSD. lets just say that his military time created a disease while in service that would later be diagnosed as PTSD. then when he left his post suffering from this ,, is he still now to be put on the shit list from his brothers at arms ? leaving his post was horrible and dishonorable but what if he did this because he was suffering of PTSD ? not to mention that after his leaving post he then became a pow
  25. WOW !!!!!!! I JUST DID IT AND WOW THE VA IS RIGHT..... thats amazing to me that you are 170% rated and still only get 87% raw.. at some point the system has got to stop screwing us
