Berta, Looked at the note I posted & noticed I posted I had a 25 GAF but it's really 35 the last time I asked. Does 35 or 40 look good on these reports or should I try to get it lower? Thank you. GARY

Berta, Almost forgot. Me & my Shrink have me at a GAF Scale of 25 the last time I asked him. Would it be better if I asked him to make it lower or what do I do? Thank You. GARY

Berta, I have found the address for the BVA as follows.... BVA 811 Vermont Ave,NW Washington,DC 20420 FAX-202-565-4720 Berta, Here we go again. Just got a new computer & it's about to drive me nuts. HA OK..If I mail my new evidence to that addres is that the correct place? The FAX # is of no interest to me. Karl said "To also send one to the VARO in my area also.Also,to send it certified with tracking" I propose to number each page & put my Claim Number on it. Should I include a cover page what the contents are? I have a pile of Doctor reports so would you think it would be best to put the VA Docs first or just put them in according to their speciality? I suppose on the package ( Manilia Envelope) it would also be a good idea to also put my claim number. RIGHT?? Karl said something about getting the name of a Lawyer at the BVA to send it to but this I know nothing about as I have never done this with the BVA before. Also, I looked for the BVA Information you said you had recently posted but all to no avail. Never did say I was smart. HA I have to see a my VA Shrink Monday & am going to have him fill out the proper form as he had just stated that I came to him & told him I needed "A & A" He'll put on the form what ever I want as it seems most of these Docs in St.Louis,MO are not very framiliar with filling out forms or what to say. But, I'm aware the VA likes their "Proper Forms" I had to explain to a Neurologist that probably & more likely than not were not the same thing as he figured probably meant yes but I explained to him one has to be precise with the VA. For some reason me & all the Docs I see have a very good relationship & I believe it's because I go in there very polite & try to make them think we are friends. (Any advise on how to do better greatly appreciated) As I said before that the BVA is doing November 2005 & I am January 2,006 so need to get this in in next month or so but trying to be quicker. But, knowing the BVA will probably take 6 months to get to January I shouldn't be concerned but with my LUCK I'd be a day late. HA OK, as I say all the time if you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate them. Oh ya, on the Dementia subject I have TWO different Doctors mention it & if I do it right the Shrink on the 14th will also as I will show him what I have so he knows how to fill them out. Capt. I had a VA Shrink say I have PTSD.. Chronic & Severe. One of the things I mentioned was all these damn Missles we were carrying in our Well Deck.(Was on an LSD) Well, as usual the VA said that we never carried any Missles while we were over there. So, I managed to get an Inter Library Loan from the NAVY Dept. for a Cruise book for 1965 & it not only talked of the missles being loaded but showed pictures of them being loaded. Needless to say they still denied it after I sent it to them & at the time I was not smart enough to get a Lawyer. To be truthful, I'm not sure if I even knew what a NOD was. But, thanks to everyone on hadit ( Especially BERTA) I have gotten a little wiser. But, I still send questions to her all the time. HA Oh ya, if you filed in 2,007 you can get a Lawyer after first denial. I had to wait thru a denial at the BVA. Berta, My A & A claim the BVA say they received in January,2006 & at present they are doing November,2,005 so I figure any new information I have better get to them. First I need to know where to send it & I suppose it should be sent "Certified". Am I correct? When I originally applied I have no idea what evidence I had on there but have a pile of it now. New evidence is as follows; I have form letters from 2 VA Shrinks saying I need A & A. 1 VA Neurologist 1 VA Primary Provider 2 IMO's One is a Neurologist & the other is a Family Doctor. One more thing, a couple of these Docs speak of "DEMENTIA" which is a lead up to Alsheimers. So, I think someone with Dementia needs A & A. HA Also, the VA has me on 26 pills a day which I would really like to see how I would feel if I wasn't taking all those darn things. HA I am also rated as having PTSD Chronic & Severe by a VA Shrink but my NEXUS letter didn't seem to live up to whom ever figured that so I'm not rated just have it. Also, I talked to Karl ,the Lawyer, & since I filed in 2,002 he said he can't help me right now but if I get a negative reaction from the BVA to get back in touch & I told him he'd probably hear back from me. HA Fellow seems like he knows his stuff & I told him I got his name from "BERTA" & it seems he has a lot of respect for you. He was talking of having the BVA decide rating & doing entire case & I asked a couple of questions & he said he didn't want to give me bad advise so not to worry about it..Didn't take him long to figure out I don't know as much as you do. HA Oh ya, I have 2 Hospital reports to pick up from 1996 but pertains to Epilepsy mostly. That was the time I had the damn things for 12 hours straight & they had to go into the juglar vein with Valium to get them to stop. But, I'm rated 100% T & P for Epilepsy but figured I'd throw that in for a couple of pity votes. HA Not exactly sure what other Hospital has but it's mostly X Rays. OK, what I need to know is where to send this new evidence to the BVA at & yes I will keep copies. Actually I'm sending in copies off the ones I have in a note book. Question: ( As usual) Do I tell the BVA to decide entire affair as Karl was speaking of or what do you suggest & if I tell them to do that what is the proper wording,etc. As I said I have all the VA Docs reports on Form for Housebound &/or Aid & Attendance. If you have any ideas on any thing else I can add to this I would really appreciate it. Also, I have a copy of an approval for A & A when I was on Pension but guess when you get comped some thing changes. HA My wife also has Hep C & I put in for her but since I didn't answer a letter ( That no one around here knows of) they denied her. Don't want this in concrete but a Veteran with a spouse what rating on A & A do U think they would give me? Just wondering so like I said just a guess is all I'm interested in. If you don't want to venture a guess that's OK. OK, here we go again. I want to get top dollar rating & back to 2,002 & if I don't will bring in KARL. I seriouly doubt if the BVA will deny this because I have so many Docs on my side from the VA but who knows. OK. One more time to make myself clear I need to know where to send new evidence & if you think it's a good idea to have the BVA handle entire case ( If I get approved) or not. Also, I suppose it's a good idea to have my claim number on each page & numbered. RIGHT???? As I have said many times before anything you can do to help me will never be forgotten. Brenda, I called Ken today & the receptionist said "don't have any opening to talk to assistant till the 19th" Also, that he does mostly Mental Cases, & I had already told her about my case, then I asked her "Isn't that Mental?" She said he mainly does PTSD cases & such, of course, just being a phone answerer she may not have any idea of what she speaks. BUT, do you know of any other Lawyers that are worth a darn? Berta, Hi there.It's your favorite question guy. I need Ken Carpenter's E Mail Address &/or phone # Remember the A & A I put in for some time ago. Well, it's at the BVA (Quite a while as usual) but at present they are doing either October or November 2005. They have me listed as January/2006 when they received my paperwork. So, it shouldn't be to long before they send me the ole Denied Letter or just possibly they may approve it but I believe they will do the ole low ball. If Clark hadn't retired would probably have this in the bag already. I don't have anyone listed as my POA so I'll have to ask Ken if it would help if his name was on there before they decided the claim With this A & A they have a bunch of different letters that pay you different amounts & I know with out a Lawyer they'd kill me. But, I bet you already knew about those letters they use. If Ken doesn't take the case I'll be back in touch with you for some more Lawyers names but I'm sure he will because if he gets the right letter for my award there's going to be a lot of back pay involved. Also, I don't know if you remember but I put in for A & A for my Wife & would like all this to go as quickly & as high as I can get I'm quit sure he'd be interested as I think there's between 30-36 month's back pay.

These Collection Agencies that call people are a big joke. If one calls U all U have to do is say " Oh, I'll get him/her & lay down the phone & go watch the TV. What they need to do is get a real job. I told one one day he wasn't a manager & hagot all irrate & I told hiim if he was a Manager he would have better control of his emotions. Berta, Here I am again with more questions. I saw below where the VA may pay for emergency room visits at civilian hospitals. OK....I'm on SS & 100% t & p for the same thing. Epilepsy & this is the only time I go to the civilian hospitals This has been going on for some years & I see that I may be able to get reimbursed for what I have paid. If I could I'd have the Ambulance take me to the VA but they have to go to nearest hospital to get me stabilized. If I can get reimbursed how many years can I go back?
