my hearing is tomorrow any advice for me.

one week to my hearing in front of the alj. i saw my lawyer yesterday, he gave me copy of my pre-hearing brief and i updated him with copies of medical records and meds to turn into the hearing office. my pcp also prescribe morphine sulfate (15mg) to go with all the pain meds i'm on. if anyone can give me any advice on some questions or what really happens in the hot seat i'll like to know, thanks.

does gabapentin really works? my pain clinic nurse referred it to my pcp to prescribe for my burning problems i have in my leg. she started me on 300mg once a night to start.

i don't know when my first denial was but i turned in my original application on april 6, 2006 and my alj hearing is on march 27, 2009. so that should give you an idea how long i've been waiting.

ruffcreek, congrats on the the award, ms berta do you have a better chance of getting approved for ssdi with ptsd at the alj level.

has anyone ever taken this medication before. my doctor says that the pharmacy at the va has taken oxycodone off the shelves so she prescribe me this med. if anyone can give me any feed back on this as far as side effects or any info would be nice. i haven't received the meds yet so i wouldn't know what to expect. she put me on 15mg (2x a day).

yoggie2, if you don't mind can you kind of describe some of the questions the judge and the voc rehab guy was throwing at you. usually how long do these hearings last? i talked with my lawyer yesterday (2/24) and he was saying that he was putting my pre hearing brief together and he wasn't sending it off until after i see my civilian pyschiatrist on the 9th of mar. but anything you can help out with the hearing process, i'll gladly take from you or anyone (experiences).

carlie, free, i have ptsd, mdd, pad, gad, hypertension, high cholestorol, djd, osteoarthritis, herniated nucleus pulposus, gerd, sleep apnea and also use a walker for ambulation. medication i take seroquel, zoloft, trazodone, klonopin, librium, oxycodone, naproxen, topamax, gabapentin and also my blood pressure meds.

free, thanks for the input, i hope the alj really looks at my case really hard. the closer i get to march 27th the nervous i get. did you have to put one of these pre-brief letters together and turn it into the judge. my lawyer said most alj want you to write these letters 10 days prior to your hearing date. and do they really help you out and in most cases will they get you otr decision.

my doctor told me to take 2000mg of fish oil to help with my good cholestorol. anyone with the same experience.

t-bird, i've posted around 6 or 7 messages on the board and they have not registerd. my post still remain at (90). how can i correct this?

allan, my pcp is going to try me on that gabapentin to see if i can get rid of some of this burning,itching and numbness i have in my legs.

i agree, but the va here in south carolina i don't think doesn't supply oxycontin. that's why they give me oxycodone for pain and it doesn't last very long for me.

allan, like i was saying taking trazdone, zoloft, seroquel, klonopin and librium and with all the other meds i'm taking it's a miracle i can even function on on a daily basis. i meant to ask you what is the difference between oxycontin and oxycodone. well with all these meds i'm taking i hope the alj at my hearing next month see how its effecting my daily living.

allan, i take zoloft, trazodone and oxycodone. i guess i'll be feeling the same way.

had a pain clinic appt today an the nurse told me she going to send my pcp a message to put me a med called gabapentin. i seen where alot of vets here take this med. does it have a real bad side effect, the nurse said it will put me to sleep.

yes i fully understand what you're saying pete, i gave my a copy of my most recent med list. matter of fact once i received my letter about the hearing he requested it from me and my medical records. can you tell me what is a pre brief letter, my lawyer says he's going to write the alj one in the middle of month.

thank you carlie, really didn't know that about the caps. but yes my lawyer told me to attend the hearing. he said hopefully it won't make it that far.
