  1. Today is a good day to plant Morning Glories. Mine are germinating right now. I always have to grow them from seeds. I have never found them already sprouted and in the pot at the garden shop. They will look great by August. Some projects are worth the wait. Best wishes, Cmdr Bob
  2. LOL... I want to stay the hell away from them too, carlie. Or, just write them off as a bad debt. However, I find it notable, especially in the claims & appeal process, how the VA can act with such impunity and worn out bureaucratic corruption. I have issues with the injustice of it all... CB
  3. Good luck with your c-file snafu and your claim,'rodin57'. I have been waiting almost 3 months for mine. How long did it take for you to receive your c-file after you requested it? CB
  4. jmho...A strong IMO is needed to overcome the contaminated record. The reluctance of VA examiners to correctly diagnose PTSD vets with pre 1980 psychiatric diagnoses is in part because the examiners seem to continously parrot the prior examiner's findings, rather than make an independent assesment to determine a diagnosis of PTSD. Here is another example. Intentional Misdiagnosis by Treating Physicians https://www.ptsdforu...ki/misdiagnosis CB
  5. Good Morning ... LOL, ~Wings!!! I recently received my 38 page, brown envelope... "Statement of the Case". Thanks for the info, Carlie xoxo

  7. I don't know the course an appeal takes. From what you have posted, I can assure you that you are far ahead of the many. I hope it all works out for you soon. Good luck. C.B. *Info regarding VLJ http://www.vacareers.va.gov/career-life/day-life/veterans-law-judge.asp
  8. Congratulations, 'Brother Gate'. Well said, Brother. Thank you for your post. I am looking forward to hearing about your continued success. Cmdr. Bob
  9. You have a point there, John. Perhaps a "Virtual Occupy the VA". Campaign would help, if there were enough participants...??? A million hits on a Twitter account would draw the Law makers & the public's attention.
  10. Greetings 'SP4RVN1971'. So true. Thanks for the laugh. Your post reminded me of the "Agent Orange Kool-Aid" we made from the run off in I Corp. I would hope the humor, if just for a moment, may ease the frustration many members are feeling right now, while waiting for a decision on there claim.
  11. I'm with you, John. I'm willing to get tazed mased and shot, if "Occupy the VA" would make a change. However, ever since the "Department of Homeland Security" armed the VA security guards to the hilt, and changed their job description to "VA Police". I am sure they would have a field day mowing us down. I have been in a few VA protests, back in the day when the public would just ignore us & and the press and the powers that be, dismissed us as disgruntled "Crazy Vietnam Vets"... I agree with all the members of Hadit who point the blame at Congress. For the sake of the young vets, I like your plan "B". Contact Congress, tell them what you are experiencing. Tell them the way many vets are being treated, It is inhumane and UN-American. Text, tweet and call every branch of our government, over and over again. I empathize with all who are going through this tribulation, and wish you the very best of luck and a speedy resolution. Cmdr. Bob
  12. Are you familiar with "Concurrent Retirement and Disability Pay"? Here is a link for more info: http://www.military.com/benefits/content/military-pay/concurrent-retirement-and-disability-pay-crdp-overview.html Cmdr. Bob
  13. Welcome aboard 'ckcjcg'. Are you familiar with "Concurrent Retirement and Disability Pay"? Here is a link for more info: http://www.military.com/benefits/content/military-pay/concurrent-retirement-and-disability-pay-crdp-overview.html Best Wishes, Cmdr. Bob
  14. No need for sorry,'Harv'. IMHO You are correct regarding AO claims as priority cases. I total agree with your Post today, at 10:02 AM. I was referring to the general attitude in the VA, its NSO's and affiliates, as well as many in the veterans community. Best Regards, C.B.
  15. Recently, employees of the VA, NSO representatives and other veterans are blaming the Vietnam Vets for clogging up the system with AO claims and creating additional delays. The reality of the unexcusable delay lays at the feet of the VA Upper and Middle managers as well as those that are mandated to support the disabled vet in his/her claim. The Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Congress and an apathetic civilian population are truly to blame, as well. Because of the delays and excuses being touted these days, I am beginning to feel a rift between some of the younger vets and the older vets. I have seen this before, many decades ago. We must be reminded that in union there is strength.
  16. On Saint Nicholas Day, December 6th, eight months after my formal DRO hearing date was rescheduled because the VA mailed my "Notice to Appear" to the wrong Address, causing a "failure to notify" violation. I received the big brown envelope, that we are all so familiar with. There was no mention of a rescheduling of the DRO hearing that they screwed up. Only yet another standard VACC package. I should have known better, however, It still brought me down after I opened it, knowing that justice has once again been delayed in my claim. My case is unique because if could affect thousands of pre 1980 PTSD claims. I have reached the conclusion that I am now willing to wait till hell freezes over to wrench the justice this claim deserves. Instead of checking the box asking for an immediate decision. I checked the box asking for more time. I then requested a copy of every document and file they have on me. I am prepared to take them to the mat on this one. Through the bogus BVA, & COVA and to a real Fed Court system, if need be. I only wish I could sue for punitive damages also... I'll keep you posted. C.B.
  17. My older brother was the kind of vet that never had anything to do with the VA. He was a well educated professional, and was not interested in the VA. He had served in the Brown Water Navy on the rivers of south Vietnam. Actually, at the same time, I also had another Brother serving in the Marine Corp at Da Nang during that time. When they heard that I got orders to go to the war zone, they both extend to keep me from being deployed. To make a long story short, I kinda screwed up their plans when I signed a DOD form 1049 waiver allowing me to go to the war zone along with my Army light weapons infantry company. So, we all were in the war zone together at the same time. For many years I felt guilty about my older brothers' unnecessary extension of their tours of duty on my behalf. After the war, I was the brunt of our war story jokes about how I caused them to spend extra tours in country. For some time now, I have prodded, urged, pushed and help my oldest brother to file for AO related disability. I am pleased to report last week he won his claim with a 60% rating and a nice retro. Great feeling & and so close to home... Merry Christmas Bro.
  18. 1) Is TDIU ever really P&T?... Yes* (*subject to fraud violations) 2) Will the form need to be submitted forever? ... No
  19. Hang in there Brother Gate. You are not alone. Cmdr, Bob
  20. I am with you on the waiting torment and the other problems that goes along with trying to deal with the bureaucracy. As you may know there is such a back log of claims. I had a simple claim issue that has morphed into a monster of a mess. I would stay on your vet rep's phone list regarding your hardship & pending home foreclosure. We don't want another homeless vet out there. Also, I would call your mortgage lender, and tell them of the VA snafu. Also I would contact the VA homeless vet rep at your VAMC and tell them of your situation. Tell them you are about to become homeless because of the backlog of Vet claims. My most positive thoughts are with you... Bob
  21. need more information.... Is your vet rep aware of your hardship???
  22. NOTE * ~'atlaturne' accidentally misquoted Cmdr. Bob ~ ...'atlaturne's post on 04 October 2011 - 12:16 AM Should read: Glad it all worked out for you, 'atlaturne'. Cmdr. Bob P.S. However, for the record, and as you can see, you have accidentally inserted your response up-date, in the middle of my June 13, 2011 post, that you Re-posted on 03 October 2011 - 11:16 PM. You need to edit the post you made this morning at 12:16am, so that we don't confuse any future readers of this thread. I see you also mixed up Pete53's quote, in your 12:17am post. Perhaps you, or with Pete53's help, could go in and correct your mistakes, by moving the quote marks to the correct places. Again, I am pleased to see that your TDIU issue was straightened out. C.B.
