  1. I want to get an independant opinion on PN. I had a C&P by a nurse at the VA. I received a letter saying that I may submit evidence showing that my PN has increased in severity. What kind of doctor do I see? Bill
  2. John, I had a 90% blockage of the LAD and they incerted a medicine coated stint back in Jan of this year. My heart Dr. would only write that a short note that said I had CAD and the presence of diabetes is felt to be a contributing factor. Bill
  3. Right now I have a claim in for CAD as secondary to DM11. My rep at the DAV scheduled me for an appointment at the VA with a cardio specialist to see if the CAD is related to my AO/DM11 or PTSD. I wonder how these changes will affect my claim. Bill
  4. I think the Cav arrived in Nam on Sept.11 1965. Bill
  5. sorry carlie, I would have thought that if someone was wounded in action there would be a record of his treatment somewhere. Bill
  6. carlie, I wish I knew how to copy and paste. Deltaj said that in 1962 he was sent to Vietnem where he did one combat mission. He got stabbed in combat and woke up in a hospital. If he was in hand to hand combat and got wounded he should have received a Purple Heart. I'm just quoting Deltaj. Bill
  7. If he was "STABBED" he should have a PH. Bill
  8. Larry, Wish I lived in Tex. Congrats Bill
  9. From reading your last post my prayers go out to you.

    Bill

  10. carlie, I guess the stressor letter wasn't needed because the paperwork from the C&P has been completed and sent on to the raters according to my Psychologist who was surprised that the doctor said I have PTSD. Bill
  11. sgmdae, I never submitted a stressor letter or was asked for one at my C&P. The only reason I asked this question is because my psychologist asked to see my letter at our last Pow wow at the vet center. Bill
  12. Is a stressor letter the same as a Statement In Support Of Claim Va form 21-4138 ? Bill
  13. Bertha, The CAD showed up almost 3 years after I went on the meds for DMII. I don't know why the doctors are scared to write a nexus statement. Here is what I got from them after my C&P for DMII in OCT of 2008. Primary Dr. This letter is to document that Mr. Billy2 has longstanding diabetes. Complicationbs of his diabetes include CAD(coronary artery disease) which is likley related to his diabetes. Heart Dr. This is to verify that Mr Billy2 has CAD. The presence of diabetes is felt to be a contributing risk factor for coronary artery disease. I had the first signs of DMII back in 1998 when my doctor at that time said I was borderline and I did nothing about it till I went on meds on 2005. Bill
  14. Look you are going to drive yourself nuts about this and what rating you are getting. You got to get away and relax from all this stress. This whole process makes a person crazy. You can't change what happened in your C&P and you must move on. If you get screwed you just have to appeal your rating. Its not the end of the world. I have found that looking for answers on the internet can also send you over the edge. Best of luck, hang in there, Bill
  15. John, Thats what I figured would happen with this exam. Thank God I have insurance and was treated by a private physician for my condition. Bill
  16. carlie. no idea but she is a young chick and is very agressive. Bill
  17. My VSO signed me up for a cardio exam at the VA sometime in the future, hopefully. I have a stint and take Plavix and an asperin everyday. Who will I see a doctor or a nurse and will they know anything? I hope its not like the other exams that I have had . The VSO said that they may be able to state that my CAD is secondary to my AO/diabeties or my PTSD. I have trouble getting any of my private doctors to make any nexus between these issues and CAD. Bill
  18. The VSO told me after the fact because I was not in contact with them when I was scheduled for the C&P. My guy at the Vet Center looked up my appointments on his computer when I asked him about them. He said the first was for IU and the second was for PTSD with doctor no name. He said that the Dr. was not the type of guy I would like. I said I didn't care because I wanted to get it done. I just wanted it over with as soon as possible. I knew going in that this guy was a prick and didn't care about the vets. I felt like hurting this guy, that would have helped my claim when I got out of jail. In some questions I think I did bad because I was unable to express myself or recall things. In other questions I think I held my own with the shrink and may have caught him off guard with my answers. You never know what happens in these exams. The facts are there for anyone to see. I have nothing but time on my hands and its not the end of the world if I get the shaft. Bill
  19. sgmdae, I don't think anyone thinks they aced their C&P for PTSD. When you are driving home you question yourself on your answers to the shrink. Why didn't I say this or that. You just have to wait and see how it turns out. I'm in the same situation as you. My exam was 4 weeks ago. My VSO said I should have cancelled my exam because my shrink didn't believe in PTSD. Its to late now. You've waited 40 years, whats' another six months. Hang in there. Bill
  20. Larry, Good luck and I'm sure you will do a good job. Bill
  21. cowgirl POWs come first, absolutley. I would think that there are very few POWs that are not DAVs. I have PTSD and I was only shot at not captured. Bill
  22. "They offer treatment to non disabled veterans(POW's) Lets' see You were a POW for four years and we give you free dental. We should all be POW's, that sounds like a good deal. Bill
  23. Dave, If you are diabetic you may have ED also. Thats worth $96 but I would have woody than the money. Bill
