hurryupnwait
My TDIU remand has been at the AMC for almost four years. I'm rared 70% and they even said my remand was sent for an extra-schedular evaluation. Why? No one told me. Since then they claimed they we waiting for med records for the second time. Now I'm told my files were supposed to go to the rating board last Monday. I don't know how long the boards take so I decided to wait 30 days before I call them again unless someone knows a quicker way to get updated info. BIGPAPA92 BIGPAPA92 Four years at the AMC is too long, I would bet that your file is collecting dust in a file room. If I were you I d start calling and complaining. Here is a contact list I compiled from posts made by Josephine and myself. 1. Under Secretary, Michael Walcoff's office email addresses of assistants Mike.Walcoff@va.gov Address to Ken Smith, I think he represents the East Mike.Walcoff@va.gov Address to Erica, I think she represents the West, she gave me the direct number of Glenn the coach handling my claim. . 2, AMC Director Russo's office. 1- 202- 530- 9455 Ask to speak to Diane Winston prolly an AMC examiner supervisor (team coach), helpful, but leery of new callers. Casandra Johnson is another AMC rating team coach, newly promoted 1-202-530- 9463 Direct number to Glenn ? ,AMC examiner supervisor (team coach). helpful if your claim is with his team. They are going to get you to try to call the 800 #, just tell them that your claim has been there for 4 years and you want to know why and that you no longer want a status report you want action. I would start at the top, Under Secretary Walcoff's office. Happy Trails Paul aka Hurryupnwait Edited December 6, 2007 by hurryupnwait
HadIt.com Elder Pete53 Posted December 5, 2007 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted December 5, 2007 Big Papa you could ask them to rate with the evidence they have. You actually should demand it. Good Luck

If you would like to call Michael Walcoff's office and ask to speak to Ken Smith or Erica - here goes the telephone number. 1- 202- 461- 9340 It has worked for Paul and myself and I think that Allen is making head way with his claim also. Paul, just thought that I would post the telephone number. All of you guys including Tank go for it. Deesulpwr
Deesulpwr, How long have you been at the AMC? The key seems to be getting your claim out of the rating overflow and hope that all your info is in tact when it gets to the rater. If someone looses something, as in my case, the process starts all over again. Always, Josephine (Betty) My file was assigned to the AMC January of this year and according to two calls to the 800 # my file was assigned to the rating specialist on 11/27/07. Hopefully it will all be in tact and this pace continues. The guy that I spoke with today said cases are generally rated in a few days to a few weeks. I won't give in or give up so I'll patiently wait for sweet sweet success. Dean

HadIt.com Elder allan Posted December 5, 2007 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted December 5, 2007 Hello Dean, My claim was assigned to the AMC for prosessing, when it opened in 2003. It has not been finalized for the simple fact that rating specialists have, "intentionally" ignored the evidence in the file. It doesn't matter if the evidence is in your folder or not. Raters simply set it asside and see what there is to deny on. Being patient is a blessing. I've been patient, lost it completely along with peace of mind and now i'm starting over again. This seems to be a door that has opened for some resolve with the years of waiting. It's rare to even hear of it. Allan **************************************** Paul/Betty, Im not understanding what a coach does at the AMC. Are Vets supposed to be assigned to one? Thank you Betty and Paul. It's almost 9am on the east coast. Maybe i'll try giving Diane another call a see what she discovered. Will post the results........... allan
