Question

Since the last time I looked for help here w/no success--I searched the Internet and finally came up with someone willing to help,I found out that my claim that I filed a few years ago for Guillain Barre Syndrome and was given Medical only by the VA-- should have been Rated and triggered a VA Reconsideration to determine if my discharge was under Other Than Dishonorable conditions. For some reason they didn't do this........... Thanks Dan

Dan, 1st time I caught your post. Could you post a claim/appeal Timeline. A redacted copy Denial Letter's & SOC/SSOC's would help.

OK, that's what mature adult decisions are all about. Your claim, your choice.

This was Long Overdue!!  If this was in affect in the Army I'm Positive myself an many others would have better Discharges!

Maybe the day will come when the VA will look at Service Connected traumatic situations that cause PTSD & MDD and make VA (character of discharge determination). and Compensation to those who deserve it also.

God has seen every wrong that's been done to you, every person ... there comes a point where God says “enough is enough,

If it is part of the final law at passage, it would write into law a policy that Discharge Review Boards consider petitions to change the discharge status of service members if they suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder or other mental trauma linked to their military service.  (  http://www.airforcetimes.com/story/military/benefits/veterans/2016/06/09/gi-benefits-senate-gary-peters-veterans/85640114/  )

NOW if they could get a LAW to make the VA REGIONAL'S Look at this Veterans Could bet Benefits Quicker!!!--VA Character of Service Determinations: An Alternative to Discharge Review
