Has Anyone Received

I am trying to determine if the VA really did send this out to veterans-

Last night's show on Suicides among veterans at SVR got a very large audience and I still am getting input from the show-

The Host Jerrel Cook called me after the show and wants to continue to pursue this topic of impotance to everyone who is a vet or has a vet or active military in their family.

The letter the VA claims is part of their Suicide Prevention program does define the key symptoms of suicidal ideation-and has the Hot line number in it---

and it is a good step in the right direction-

I just wonder if any veterans actually received it.

Haven't seen that one but was given a business card for "After Hours Crisis Calls" at each station last trip to Jackson VAMC. Has national suicide hotline number and Houston call center and Emergency department numbers on it.

They seem to be trying some at least.

A friend of mine, vietnam vet....just filed for PTSD, received this letter about a month ago, along with a va brochure on suicide prevention...

"Suicidal Ideation" with plans..............well, it is one of my MH "problems".

I guess they think that my family and myself know all about that kinda stuff by now....so why not save the paper and postage, right?

This crap, this VA crap, really REALLY cracks me UP!!!!

I gotta laugh my *ss off to keep from crying. Biggest bunch of bumbling idjits I've EVER encountered!

oh well.....another perfect example of why I wanna get the heck outta here....I've checked, Scotty, and there are NO signs of intelligent life......so, BEAM ME UP, PLEASE.
