Response (Department of Veterans Affairs) 06/30/2008 02:42 PM

Ms. xxxxxxxx,

In response to your e-mail reply dated 6-28-2008 from our response dated 6-27-2008:

1) UNEMPLOYABILITY: We still have not received your VA Form 21-8940 from either the Roanoke VA Regional Office or an unnamed US Marine Corps recruiter.

2) DEPENDENCY: We are processing your claim for dependency because we received your request to add your husband, Rxx Wxxxxx xxxxx, to your compensation/benefits. We also received a VA Form 21-686c, Declaration of Status of Dependents.

3) HEADACHES: As stated in previous e-mail responses concerning your original headaches claim, the decision was made on March 23, 2004. You were notified of this decision on July 12, 2004. As a reminder, your appeal for headaches is being reviewed and our Appeals Team will notify you of the status upon completion of the review.

Thank you for contacting us. If you have questions or need additional help with the information in our reply, please respond to this message or see our other contact information below.

Sincerely yours,

Joseph R. Beaudoin

FEXEX sounds like the plan. If you have "proof" of having sent a previous copy, send that too. What a mess is right! ~Wings

John,

I switched over to the DAV about a month ago. They don't seem to be of any help.

I can take the papers to Senator Warner and let sent them through for me.

As you can see, my claim is going no where. Roanoke sent them through and I faxed them through the Marine Recruiter and they still say they don't have them.

Thanks,

Betty

Betty,

I send documents to the VARO all the time that eventually drop into the "Dead Zone" where they supposedly can't be located. I then receive a letter telling me they need the document I have already sent them multiple times.

I've pondered this for quite some time and have determined a reason. My VARO is not lax, they just like communicating with me! I continue to write long letters to them and I believe they enjoy the chatter between us. I didn't realize it before, but since no one likes them apparently, I have become a surrogate friend! The VA and I are pals...

Of course none of this helps my claim, but you know they say; you can never have too many friends...

Ron
