How long are claims taking? Jusy wondering,, as I just started mine... it looks like about a year...

not counting unforessen circumstances...

sorry if this is already in some other thread..

Thanx..

alos, is the length of time it takes regional?

Not in appeals, since I got 100%, and some of it was winning an 1151 negligence, which the VA turns out does not give ful benefits if you win 1151 negligence they squirm and legal loophhole you and your family out of many benefits, really crapp nasty bunch running the va benefits, they wil backstab and scre wyou even if you win you lose. ive been out since november of 2008 and ive had 2 sets of claims already go thru and approved and im working on my third...im guessing its easier for me since i dont really have to prove nothing was service connected?

Why don't you have to prove it was service connected?!?! :P

Since he just got out Nov 08..less than a year ago, AND since we are presumed to be in good health upon entrance to the military, I guess conditions that arise within a year out of the military are presumed to be SC..but I dont really know for sure, just a guess.

I am sure VA is aware of the wide time frame from submission to approval

I am sure they have heard all the complaints that could be given.

What can we do to bring this a issue up again.

We have President, if convince, will tell VA get them done tomorrow,

I don't agree woth his policys, but if he could fix this snag in the VA system, so be it

100% PTSD

20% right ankle

20% left ankle

10% Right Knee

20% Right Shoulder

10% Tinnitus

You still have to prove it was service connected but if you do within one year of discharge your effective date is the day after discharge. Unless you condition is presumptive like agent orange conditions you still have to prove it.

There are so many variables; like how many disabilities one is claiming; what state they are filing from/to what state VARO; how much evidence did they send; how much proof was in their SMR/STR; etc. One of mine has been going since dec 06, another since jan 07...waiting game continues...

Took at least a year for exam to be scheduled, and over that before any type of half-ass decision was made+ NOD+DRO+HEARING+++BVA+++wait, wait, wait... <_<
