A Veteran is a person who served this country. Treat them with respect.

A Disabled Veteran is a person who served this country and bears the scars of that service regardless of when or where they served.

Treat them with the upmost respect. I do. Rejection is not a sign of failure. Failure is not an option, Medical opinions and evidence wins claims. Trust in others is a virtue but you take the T out of Trust and you are left with Rust so be wise about who you are dealing with.

Since you have not worked in over a year the being able to go back to work in a year question is moot but you or a lawyer needs to tell them that. I have a friend that they said could find other work and after 3 years of not working the SS Office conceded that the point had already been made.

Sometimes it is very hard for a Doc to say that a claimant cannot work for at least a year.

Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.

I hope it wouldn't take another two years before I get a favorable decision, thats what I mean by not having that in me. I'm going through alot right now, need to move but can't afford it; child visitation battle with ex wife. The fact that after I quit working I was unable to keep up with my child support until I was granted IU in August of last year, the courts got involved in that of course. It seems the hits just keep coming. Sorry about the rant.

Thanks Erico and Pete. I'm feeling better today now that I've talked to a lawyer and she's taken my case. She says it could take 14-18 months after the reconsideration, which she says will probably be another denial.
