Question
gpech
Recently awarded s/c for PTSD claim was filed Jan 2007 awarded August 2009 not so bad. Here is my question. I had filed for PTSD back in 1981. VA sent me a letter asking for stressor information and any medical treatments. The letter said VA was waiting on me for information. Well I never sent them anything, but I know something was not right upstairs. I had a wife, family and bills just like most veterans on this board and I decided I just could not take the time to get this information together. I let it go. So when I filed again in 2007 I expected the VA to deny me because of the claim in 1981 but they didn't. Did they forget about it. Maybe they had no record of it. I have letters from them dated 1981 and 1982 regarding your claim for PTSD.
Can I seek an EED back to 1982 for my recenlty awarded s/c for PTSD. The stressors are the same now and as they were back than? Is this possible. I really do not want to put the current s/c in any kind of jeorpary. Advise is welcome.
