If the condition is awarded as secondary to the original SC condition, it is treated as it's own individual rating which is calculated into the combined SC rating, unless the pyramiding rules apply.

You could have a 20% rating for a primary condition like DMII and 100% for a secondary condition like heart disease. You have to have medical evidence to link the secondary to the primary.
