HadIt.com Elder JR Reihs Posted May 14, 2011 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 14, 2011 Best thing you could do in your situation is find a good orthopedic doc and get an IMO, connecting the hips to the lower back...this will not be an easy claim, but it can be done. HadIt.com Elder john999 Posted May 14, 2011 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 14, 2011 Yes, you need a good IMO from othopedic doctor to make the connection between your back and your hips. If your hips were not treated or diagnosed during service it is up to you to make the case. The VA will probably say that hips are either some deformity or due to age that has nothing to do with your back or your service. You have to prove that it is and medical evidence is the way to do it.
