Question

So I am told that both my gynecological and my anxiety issues are considered service connected, I have not recieved official word yet, ebenefits says it is "pending dispatch" The DAV tells me that now it will be sent back to the RO and I will have to have exams to figure out what the severity is to rate both of these.

Anxiety/PTSD was initially filed in 2002, I was denied during this claim and appealed it, will they go back to this date?

Gyno was filed in 2006. But I had information in my service record well before this, which date is relevant here??

To clarify, it was officially completed on 8/13/12, that is all they could tell me, they (800 number) said there is nothing in the system yet, hopefully soon, anyone have any guesses?

Yeah Painter, you would think it would have been faster since it had already spent a big residency at my varo anyway. When I call my VSO, which I am a life member they are just plain rude, They were fine in washington but the regional guys can be pretty ignort at times. They said, when we know you'll know, we will send you a letter. Used to have a different VSO, could slap myself for changing. I will soon as this claim is completely done.

Gonna write their headquarters and let them know they need to grease their customer service skills up!

I can understand how VSO are so back logged. I can't understand why they take your case when they know they have absolutely no time to

dedicate to your case. I used a rep from DAV & couldn't even get a return phone call. I never talked with her once in the 4 months she represented me.

She did send me a copy of my decision 3 days after my RO did.

I hear you, DAV has really been dissapointing at local level. very hard to get a hold of too. I know they can see what is going on, the american legion used to get up, walk down the hall and give me an answer the same day. I will be changing back as soon as this is over.

Tommorrow will be 15 days since my grant of benefits went into notification, supposedly Pittsburgh timeframe in that phase is 14 days, however they say it may take a little longer because the reviewers have to review retro pay. Hope to hear something this week so I can jump over to the success stories side of the house and add something there. I know the wait is almost over now, hopefully.
