Question
hedgey
I filed for SSDI back in May of 2010 and was denied. I filed based on all my problems including PTSD, meaning that I included my feet and knee pain. I was denied because they said my last date of work was too long ago (1998).
I was going to appeal, talked to a couple lawyers who said they would help, but PTSD is my commander-in-chief and no action was taken by me. I put it off and put it away. Too much stress.
Now, my sweet DH (who is probably trying to generate fusses to divert our attention from his upcoming Comp & Pen for PTSD, bless him, my love) says I need to reapply. He thinks the fact that I have been rated 70% for PTSD and then got TDIU after my SSDI denial, I should apply again since it's new evidence.
I will admit, there's a remark in my Comp & Pen report where the Psychologist says that I hadn't worked since 1998 when a severe bout of depression overcame me.
The VA says I got PTSD in the Army, way before I stopped working. So maybe I should apply for SSDI again? Do you think the new information would matter?
Thanks for any input. I know it's mainly a diversionary tactic on DH's part, but I also know that the application is online and I can do it in a short time and say, Honey, it's done! NOW, back to working on your claim.....
Let us be kind, one to another, for we are each of us together in our pain.
