anyone ever heard of a VA doctor committing someone to SATT for PTSD. is this a volunteer thing or can a VA doc force a veteran to go.

I know you can be Baker Act'd. A friend VA psy wants him to go to a VA program in St. Pete for his PTSD. He saying he will have to stay a week.

What I understand is yes they can commit a vet if they feel the veteran is suicidal or a threat to himself or others.
