Has Anyone Used The New, Have Your Claim Decided On Feature On Ebennies

Question

Has anyone used the "Have your claim decided on" feature on Ebenefits site. As you all know my claim was at the Prep for Decision phase for the last month, then the other day it went back to Gathering of Evidence. Well the Ft Worth VA called today and scheduled a couple of C&Ps at the Ft Worth and Dallas VAs. I have Uploaded, Mailed and Faxed all the Medical Evidence more than once, and I am tired of these idiots. My last two FDC claims I had a couple of bad C&Ps, as either the Docs would not even look at me and hardly talk, or accept my Evidence. These Damn exams are driving me crazy, and I don't feel like driving over 200 and 300 miles round trip to each exam. I am thinking of using this feature in the next few days. As long as the VA grants SC on a few conditions, then I will fight the rest 1 condition at a time from hear out. What do you guys think? Thanks again and hope you have a good week.

VA keep requesting additional evidence, records, etc for my claim even though I gave them everything they needed. Clicked the button about two weeks ago and was scheduled for C&P exams within a week. So long as you aren't building up any additional medical files or such I'd say it's worth using.

See thats the problem, they are requesting evidence, you dont know what they have or need, its like a guessing game. It could be an automatic letter that gets sent out to cover thier ass, that way if the claim gets investigated they can say.. OH we are still awaiting evidence from the veteran, its them holding the claim up, not us.

I have. It was late and I noticed I had not checked on my claim status in months. I checked on the status and my claim still had not moved. I clicked on that option and the next week I was in for all of my C&P examinations. 4 weeks later my rating came back on eBenefits as being 100% I/U (90% total). I'm not sure if it was because I clicked on the tab or if it was because it had already been a year since first submitting the claim. It could be one, the other, or both perhaps. I personally had no new information to report to the VARO so I didn't feel as if I had anything to lose.

My current FDC has been at Prep for Decision since I had my C&Ps last month. The first time my claim was at this Stage was from Dec-Feb then it went back to Gathering of Evidence, and a bunch of C&Ps over the next few weeks. I am going to give this claim until the end of the month, then I might click on the Decide Claim button in April. I am just a nervous wreck, as everyone else is Im sure.

You and I are the only 2 people I know of who have hit the button and we both received positive results in terms of getting C&P exams scheduled straight away. It maybe too early to tell, but I'm hesitantly optimistic about this new feature.

I think it also depends largely on the VA Regional Office that these disability comps are done through. My office in Philly VARO, as I live in the immediate area, and they have been quite responsive towards my needs, healthcare, and professional endeavors (Voc Rehab). My rehab counselor is great and, with the occasional hiccup, VA services have been fair. Is it where it should be? No. but I do know I am one of the fortunate ones that have been relatively well taken care of by the VA. I wish that was the case for all the people that post on here because a lot seem to have gotten a raw deal on their claims, healthcare, etc. I'm glad it worked out for you.
