IU wont change your disability percentage, it will remain 70, you just will be paid at the 100 percent rate due to IU. If you want to check ebenefits, dig deeper. Was your NOD from a Inferred IU Claim Denial. Did you go DRO or BVA? Any mention of an Extra-Scheduler IU Rating? My 1st NOD was mid 2010, DRO Hearing took place 06/27/14, all issues awarded, including 2012 IU Denial. Started giving VA Attorneys a look around 10/2013, decided to go it alone. All 3 legal firms quoted 20% of retro plus costs. 2 of the firms wanted me to officially cancel the DRO Hearing and go to the BVA. I really didn't agree with that. 1 lawyer said she thought I should win at DRO with or without her. I had already decided that if I lost, she would be my choice for BVA representation. Note: She was a local attorney and did a face to face, no 35 min phone pre-screen with a non lawyer. Both other firms were large Nationally Advertised VA Appeals Claims Attorneys.
