Tomorrow is my PTSD C& P NERVOUS!

Question

Hi everyone! I have not been in here for a while since I have started some classes. I bet I have some catching up to do! Last week I received a phone call from VES to schedule all of my exams ASAP, so tomorrow is my PTSD exam. I have been stressing about it for the past few days, but I know that cannot help. Next week I have to see the dentist on the 25th, a regular general medical doctor on the 27th, and on the 29th I have a bunch of X-rays and an echo-cardiogram scheduled.

The VA had sent me a letter, dated for the 24th of December 2015, stating that they could not settle my case under the FDC program because they needed to know where all of my aches and pains were located. I was not surprised that they were going to remove my claim from the FDC, but the reasoning was suspect. I had provided all of the pain locations on my claim, and when I go to eBennies and look at my pending claim, I can see all of the places listed. Today I received another VA letter stating that the Dec letter was an error, and that all of my appointments would be scheduled very soon, so my claim would stay in the FDC program after all. yay!

I still do not know where my STRs are! The agencies from which I have requested my records (except for my local VA records) have all sent me letters stating that they do not have them. Argh!

I hope everyone here has had a pleasant holiday season and a good start for the new year!

EDIT: I was going to ask a few questions, and I totally forgot! Here are my most pressing ones:

Should I bring notes with me?

What do they do during the PTSD C&P? I have only answered some survey questions in the past and didn't discuss the actual event. I am very anxious about that!

Pumibel, I apologize I didn't mean to hijack your thread. I hope your next c&p exam goes great, please keep us updated!

As I told Talon, I don't mind people hijacking my thread. It's only natural for people to have conversations branch off, and we are all going through the same things so it is more sharing information than hijacking anyway. Thanks for your attention here, and don't worry about posting in my thread.

I just got back from my last C&P where they did an echo-cardiogram and a ton of X-rays. I am tired and rather sore now!

I've had both C&P Examiners and so for I prefer the QTC..their Dr's are well Qualified Dr's and some are specialist  my Dr Was practicing physiatrist with her own office...but the only thing is how do we know those Drs are not paid off??...as it seems to me the VA Dr's Are

I maybe in rejoice after I get my decision  and praise my C&P Dr.

Lol...I can't tell if its a deny.

...Buck...............wheat:smile:

Nerves are shot, anxiety levels are high, in the short we all won't know anything until we get the decisions, thats the crappy part of the process.  But as a smart man once reminded me "you can't shoot what you cannot see" It's agonizing I know, but patience.  Slow is smooth,  smooth is fast.  Poof.   Good fortune to all of us.

I agree- very wise words from you and the "smart man" you have quoted. Thank you!

Buck52, Navy4Life, and Flores97,

I just called the number on my C&P paperwork to request copies of my C&P exam results (1-800-827-1000). Juan was kind enough to give me the fax number and mailing address for the Evidence Intake Center in GA.

Fax: 844-531-7818

Department of Veterans Affairs

Evidence Intake Center

PO Box 4444

Newman GA, 30271-0020

He told me to write them a letter to request the exam reports/test results and include my full name, SSN or claim number, and the dates and places,(or any other info) for my exams. Be sure to sign it, and then ax or email it.

So anyone who has appointments through VES or QTC will need to do that to get the results from the C&P exams and tests.

 Good points Navy4life   I agree

Andymann, I meant the records that they need to review for your (during) C&P because there always something in those they need to ask about and the C&P is the time and place to do it

what those examiners put in their report ''usually'' the raters use that in their decision  or just about have to unless they disagree  with them and raters can't make their own opinion because there simply not Dr's

Kinda funny tho, I have never had a single exam where they were looking at my STR while I was there.  Or else I could have said look here, around this month and year and so on.

My last exam, Saturday 3 weeks ago, I was in and out in 5 minutes!!!  He asked about radicular symptoms in my lower extremities, which I saw on blue button notes as marked exactly as I described them(a first for me!). Then he performed the "do you feel this" test with the monofiliment.  Which I did feel...he said I don't have periferal neuropothy.  I said oh, I thought this was an exam for radiculapathy.  Said nope.  Oh....
