0 seminoles
Incentivizes Disability? REally? 0 Berta
Broncovet-20 years ago Bill Clinton was the President, Jesse Brown was the travelling VA Secretary, he went all over the world --but I know of no VA's in Europe, then he resigned in mid 1997, Hershel Gober took over, and the BVA had only 10,223 claims decisions in 1997. And those were the days of "not well grounded" BS. The local VAMC where I live was run by the NSC DOM vets and they called the place a golf club. All of the above has changed. Another lawsuit has been filed in Federal Court charging the VA as causing the suicide of a veteran. Since the Phoenix scandal that too has changed the way some families view the VA and try to speak for the dead. https://www.law360.com/medical-malpractice/articles/937590/chicago-va-hospital-hit-with-suit-over-patient-suicide I get this malpractice stuff at least once a week with a google alert. That too has gotten worse. GRADUATE ! Nov 2nd 2007 American Military University ! When thousands of Americans faced annihilation in the 1800s Chief Osceola's response to his people, the Seminoles, was simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we." Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.
0 Founder Tbird Posted June 24, 2017 Founder Share Posted June 24, 2017 (edited) The nation we served does not need to balance the budget on the backs of veterans who served them honorably. I'm disturbed that Sec Shulkin thinks Unemployability is the same thing as Unemployment insurance as he did in his hearing on the budget in June of 2017. Now he has trotted out that old line that "the VA system incentivizes disability". The VA system is a struggle for most veterans, a struggle to get some assistant to help them lead a fuller life after giving up a piece of themselves for our country. http://www.militarytimes.com/articles/va-chief-time-to-rethink-disability-system-current-setup-not-sustainable Edited June 25, 2017 by Tbird added link Tbird Founder HadIt.com Veteran To Veteran LLC - Founded Jan 20, 1997 HadIt.com Veteran To Veteran | Community Forum | RallyPoint | FaceBook | LinkedIn | About Me Time Dedicated to HadIt.com Veterans and my brothers and sisters: 65,700 - 109,500 Hours Over Thirty Years I am writing my memoirs and would love it if you could help a shipmate out and look at it. I've had a few challenges, perhaps the same as you. I relate them here to demonstrate that we can learn, overcome, and find purpose in life. The stories can be harrowing to read; they were challenging to live. Remember that each story taught me something I would need once I found my purpose, and my purpose was and is HadIt.com Veterans. 0 HadIt.com Elder Buck52 Posted June 24, 2017 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted June 24, 2017 (edited) I agree with Ms T Just my opinion here I am ''unsure'' or lack of trust with the New VA Secretary! He maybe a great MD but knows nothing about the VA System or how to manage it and relies on others around him for support.(where is his leadership?) Also same with the New President, he seems to base his decision making and rely on others around him, I am sure he is a great Business man making millions of dollars in the private sector, but when it comes to running this great country he seems lost and also undecided himself & Relies on others for help. I am afraid if he makes deals with this country the way he made business deals in the private sector were all in trouble and to me that's taking a big chance almost the same as gambling and we all know the casino's have the Advantage. I've watch the president up close at press conference, when he is speaking to the country with all the news media around in the WH Garden or where ever...watch his eyes carefully he always uses a teleprompter (he is reading what he is saying) and seems unsure of himeself. That is a scary feeling. Also what about ''Make America Great Again'' America Has Always been Great its never stopped being Great and we have thousands/millions that sacrifice and gave their all to keep it Great! We simply call them Veterans. He should have used something like this Together Every American can and will keep this great country greater than it has ever been before. The New President may turn out alright and turn this country around but all we can do is wait and see? jmo Edited June 24, 2017 by Buck52 I am not an Attorney or VSO, any advice I provide is not to be construed as legal advice, therefore not to be held out for liable BUCK!!! 0 porgee
With all the lies he has already told and is still telling them, how can we trust him??. Blaming everybody for his mistakes and then just lie about what he wrote and accuse people of. I'm 58 never have I seen something like him before in my life. He hadn't done nothing for me lately but trying to take away benefits we already earn. What we should do is IU claimants start filing claims for secondary and SC disabilities and increases If you can to make 100% but remember they might check everything. If we don't do nothing they will try to cut our benefits and that's jmho Edited June 24, 2017 by porgee
