  • Can a 100 percent Disabled Veteran Work and Earn an Income?

    employment 2.jpeg

You’ve just been rated 100% disabled by the Veterans Affairs. After the excitement of finally having the rating you deserve wears off, you start asking questions. One of the first questions that you might ask is this: It’s a legitimate question – rare is the Veteran that finds themselves sitting on the couch eating bon-bons … Continue reading

Good job Buck, keep as many as you can.

Careful Buck, you might hurt the feelings of us in the back hills of Tennessee.

I have had amazing dental implants done at my VA in Gainesville, my oral surgeon and prosthedontist were absolutely the best.  They did them right and it is a long process with having them properly do

Thanks vetquest

Yesterday the private dentist ask me when was the last time I had my teeth cleaned? I said July 26 (last month)  by the VA

He said well I hate to say it but he did not do a good job   you have a lot of plaqe and scale at your gum line..he went on to say this is will cause your teeth to decay   cause cavity's and actually rot out and then need to be extracted    ...

The VA has extracted 17 of my teeth over the last 23 years that leaves 10 total teeth  5 upper and 5 lower middle area  and I need 3 more extracted...but he will leave my good teeth alone  other than general maintenance /cleanings   he needs these teeth to have anchors for my new partials...VA decline to do that for me.

He had the hygienist to deep clean my teeth yesterday and will make appointment for my extractions in a week or two. and start making my partials.

I blame the VA for all my teeth problems  but it is what it is.

At least they are fixing the problem through the outside care program.

The local VA neurologist really screwed me with some to the stuff he wrote about me but I had private neurologists rake him over the coals.  They dissolved that neurology center and now I go to an outside doctor for VA neurology.

It looks like the outside care program is working for some of us vets.

This NVCC (Non VA  Community Care ) Must be working once your accepted. VA New Mission Act of June 6th 20019 for Out Side Health Care.

I got a call early this Morning from VA Hand surgery clinic

and  they ask me if I would like to use the NVCC ? on my Dupytrens Contraction on my left hand  because the clinic could not see me until the end of Sept...I SAID YES SURE, The lady said the private Dr's would be calling to set up an appointment.

Now I have not got any paper work that says VA is paying for all this ?, I ask the private dentist about it  they said the VA had sent them the paper work and they would take care of it...but I don't have anything in writing?

what should I do  ? who at the VA would I see for this to make sure and clear I am not stuck with thousands of dollars to pay out about this time next year?

Anybody Know?

    • Finally heard back that I received my 100% Overall rating and a 100% PTSD rating Following my long appeal process!

My question is this, given the fact that my appeal was on the advanced docket and is an “Expedited” appeal, what happens now and how long(ish) is the process from here on out with retro and so forth? I’ve read a million things but nothing with an expedited appeal status.

Anyone deal with this situation before? My jump is from 50 to 100 over the course of 2 years if that helps some. I only am asking because as happy as I am, I would be much happier to pay some of these bills off!

    • I told reviewer that I had a bad C&P, and that all I wanted was a fair shake, and she even said, that was what she was all ready viewed for herself. The first C&P don't even  reflect my Treatment in the VA PTSD clinic. In my new C&P I was only asked about symptoms, seeing shit, rituals, nightmares, paying bills and about childhood, but didn't ask about details of it. Just about twenty question, and  nothing about stressor,
    • This is the latest Compensation & Pension (C&P) Clinicians Guide dated 20180719. The only other one I've seen is dated 2002, including the one on this website and the VA website. I got this from my claims agent, who got it from the VA.
