LHI tomorrow

Rate this question

Riplip

Question

Well I have my C&P tomorrow at LHI about my Meniere's claim. Should be an adventure. Going to a place that doesn't specialize in anything close to what I'm being examined for. All the new rating and nightmares I hear from everyone. I have to drive 1 hour and 20 minutes to a company that has another office 20 mins from me. I almost just quit the claim and left well enough alone but I think thats what they want. I hope I get a person that listens and reads all my doctors notes. I'll check ebenefits later today to see if I get denied before i even have my examine like last time lol.

If you have any paperwork from your doctor to show your issues, I would take it with you and highlight the important parts.  I had to do that with Dercums disease as they have no idea what it is.

I had to find a Skin specialist to tell me what it was and what kind of lipomas I have.  I did not to this to start with and it cost me 10 years of fighting.

Anything you can do to help them will help you in the long run

The locations are not always specialist offices, the examiners sometimes 'borrow' space from an existing nearby location. Good luck.

Good luck to you. I know sometimes it can be very difficult to deal with LHI examiners. Follow the advice stated from others stated recently. Also pay close attention to the examiner and take notes. Hopefully it will be a favorable exam.  If not, then you can challenge the exam.

Also before leaving, grab one of those survey cards just in case you need it.

Good luck.

I really hate this new comp exam stuff I never seen were veterans fear exam or had to travel a HR and half to get a comp exam.

Now we have to write down were were was seen and by who. It's crazy.

We can't even get a copy of the exam.

Any one who think this is making the system better is also crazy.

My thing  is make sure you put in for a copy of the exam.

I think I had to do freedom of information to get it.

They will send a letter stating they received your request.

It will become part of your record.

So if they make a bad decision based on the exam

An you have to fight or appeal the exam you can show you never even receive a copy of the exam.

They will remand real fast they don't want the court to address this.

Why does a veteran have to do a freedom of information to get a copy of there own record.

To me how can these exam be legal.

The government is even trying to not give a copy of a exam they paid for.

Why aren't they send a copy of these exam to veterans.

Something off. My opinion

It is just one trick to fight this new comp exam system.

If the exam doesn't go well.

Good luck again.

Thanks all. I have my reports from the VA and from the outside specialists the VA sent me to. I did highlight the important parts. Taking notes is a good idea and I will look for the survey cards. I never seen those before but this is the first LHI for me. You are correct. It shouldn't be this hard and stressful. I have an anxiety disorder as well and this is not helping haha. I'm just worried I am poking the bear.
