Veteran Assets
If everyone gets the same results, as I have, with the 800 number, maybe you should try this route. https://iris.va.gov/scripts/iris.cfg/php.ex...nduser/home.php This iris question process usually gets an you answer in 5 business days. It might not be the one you want. The up side to the iris is, when they answer, you have record to print for verification later in building a case and claim of what they said. The down side is you will anger them because they had much rather answer where there is no verification process or record. Danang_1969

tinnitus 1. C&p Down And One To Go.
Well I had my hearing and tinnitus C&P yesterday. The Lady who gave it to me has done my last two hearing test for hearing test for hearing test for hearing aides. Believe it or not it was on one of these visits that I took my discharge separation hearing test and ask her if I should file a claim. After one glance she said I should have filed thirty years ago. I had significant loss in my left ear. It has progressed to ninety on the pure tone with 32 percent speech discrimination on my last test eight months ago. She told my Wife and me that this test was nearly the same as then. On my last test she wrote on her report that I also suffered from tinnitus, ve…

The Wonderful 1-800 Number
Yet again today I contacted the 1-800 number to discuss the progress of my claim. Unsuprisingly, I knew much more about how the system worked than the droid answering the call. Again I have to reccomend that if someone has a question then submit it online rather than talk to these people. They simply are not trained nor qualified to answer your questions. Every once in a while you get an experienced one who actually DOES know the systm, but for every one of them you get 10 idiots. Seriously, they will tell you contradictory information in back to back calls. It's pointless, and I can see how a newer veteran would get massivly confused by their ignorance. I honest…

Going The 11th To See "forensic Psychiatrist"
Just wanted to let all you wonderful people know, I have mailed Dr. Crowley copies of all of my papers and his money. He can put an end to this claim for me. I will be seeing him in person Friday January 11th. Thanks for all of your help and encouragement in taking this final step. Thanks to all of you for showing me this would be the way to go. His credentials are impeccable and should be able to put the pieces together. When reading his credentials, I couldn't help note , he was a Psychiatrist in service, same area, as myself. 1963, he was at Bethesda Maryland in the Navy and I in D.C at the same time. Just maybe, he will know the Psy…

Hearing At Varo ?
The VA continues to denie my claim for a psychiatric disorder. Saying that the psychiatric disorder was alternatively diagnosed as a personality disorder. I have read and re-read my claims file and the original C&P exam report, that the VA says the C&P examiner changed the diagnosis. I don't see it or read anything that would lead me to believe, that a change in diagnosis was stated in this report or anything other than the unsubstantiated statement to the change by the claims officer at the time. How can I, If it is even possible, get a hearing with a claims officer, to get them to show me where the change in diagnosis occured and how it was supported by what…

Looking For Medical Records.
While I was stationed on Long Island NY I recieved treatment at a private doctor. My SMR's do not have copies of my treatment and I called Tricare to see if they had records and was told they did not. They suggested I contact the doctor who treated me directly but it was 8 years ago and I cannot remember who treated me. Any ideas on where else I could go? Thanks

tdiu Have You Ever Had Individual Unemployability (iu) Denied? If So
Have you ever had a request for IU denied? If so, what was the reason they cited for the denial? Were you able to prevail and get IU awarded? If so, what did you do and what evidence did you send in to get the VA to award your IU? Thanks, TS

Nod Not Yet Under Review
Situation 1. I filed a NOD that likely will be reviewed in March 2008 at the earliest. 2. The NOD petains to a heart condition where the VA rated at 10% METs. I was not given a stress test. I was assigned a METs level of 7 which equals 10%. 3. My one and only stress test, done more than 12 months prior to the filing of the claim, showed my MEPs as 6.2 which equates to 20%. 4. My stress test with a private doctor has been moved up to December 26th. The results should be available in the first week of January 2008. 5. I intend to forward the results to the DRO as soon as they are received. I assume they will show MEPs of 6.2 or lower. In any case, I intend t…
