Va Directive[s] "institutional Disclosure Of Adverse Events
I recently submitted a formal request to the VA Bay Pines,Fla. for a formal meeting to allow the VA Hosp. to apologize for the sub-standard care I've received and allow me to voice my concerns, pertaining to my care and delay's as noted in my Med.Records. Per, VA directives they must allow this meeting to take place, to address any adverse events. Is this the case?? thanks, williamn

Motion For Reconsideration Granted
Hi, I've been gone for a while, and I'm still waiting for Decision from the BVA Reconsideration Panel. Some of you may already know that in May 2007 the BVA granted my Motion for Reconsideration that denied me an earlier date of claim. Here's the latest: 1.It went to the Expanded Panel for Review on 16July2007. 2.On 21August2007 it was forwarded to a Judge. Which is where it is now. I was told that because I already had another Issue awaiting a BVA Decision I suspect I'm going to get two screwings for the price of one. If anyone has been in the same position please weigh in. Thanks

Co-pays
Hi, my last claim I did was last year. It took almost a year to be awarded 60% SC. During that time I saw a civilian Dr. for the exact same thing I am now awarded for. I heard somwhere and or from someone that I can get a refund for the copays I had to pay before I was able to receive care at VA clinic. IS that true? If so how do I go about it? Thanks!

Common Or Uncommon?
Just wondering how common or uncommon it is to get a benefit payment before actual receipt of your award notification from the RO? AND; Is it possible to receive the award notification from RO before it is actually updated in the system? For example, if you call the 1-800# and vet rep doesn't show anything; but then you get a decision letter or notification in the mail. Does that happen? And, if so, is it more uncommon than common? Thanks

Have Any Of You Successfully Challenged A C & P Exam
I'm curious to see if any of you ever successfully challenged a C & P exam because you couldn't understand the examiner, and the examiner either misinterpreted your statements, or wrote misstatements in the C & P report due to not understanding you. In short, due to an acute communication problem. Anyone?

Discrimination Of Older Vets
Hi I would like to know why our claims are being shoved to the end of the line and the Iraqi and Afgan troops are being pushed to the head of line. Are they just waiting for us to croak to me this is discrimination. I did not go to war but I did volunteer for Viet Nam but couldn't go since my brother was there at the same time. I have served my time in hell and now I'm waiting for just cause. I feel slighted everytime I call to check on my claim. How many others are in my shoes? We are all supposed to be equal. Jan

I have been diagonsed by a VA and civilain Podiatrist for this condition as being severe. The only code I can find is FEET INJURY OTHER. I am rated 30% for flat feet w/ plantar fasciitis so would this FEET INJURY OTHER help me …

Va Apology / Vha Directive 2005-049
The vha directive is 2005-049..you may also request an "informal disclosure" for minor adverse advents...when serious injury or death or legal liability is at the top, you request "formal hearing"..their apology is not allowed in fed.court to be used as evidence of guilt..hope this helps, willn....Sen. Bill Nelson just came on board, as extra eyes

But I have noticed a number of post of people getting their's from the VAMC which is it? Also I have a claim in for increase since April 07 C&P July 07 should I contact the VARO for a copy? The last I checked by 800# my claim is at the infamous rater!! Good luck on all your claims! Stillhere
