tdiu Question About C&p Doctor's Inaccurate Report
Hi, I'm new here, and I want to apologize if this has been addressed somewhere already- I searched but couldn't find anything. I have a problem that I hope someone here may know what to do about. A little background history: I served in the Army from 2003 to 2005 when I was medically discharged for a chronic pain syndrome. I applied for disability and was found 40% disabled for fibromyalgia (which if you don't know is a pain thing like arthritis, only not in your bones, it's in your muscles and ligaments). I also have 30% for depression and 10% for GERD/IBS. Earlier this year, I worked with VA Voc Rehab to try to get a job, and they found that I was not employable…

The Reps Benefit For
REPS Restored Entitlement Program for survivors of certain veterans. In 1980 Ronald Reagan signed the Omnibus Reconciliation Act. Briefly -this act prevented widows or widowers of any veteran who died due to service or service connection contributing to death-from continuing to receive 2 full years of the SSA benefit that the SSA had traditionally paid to the surviving caretaker parent due to a veteran's death up to the child's age of 18. The Original benefit paid a spouse an SSA benefit as long as the child was in school up to age 18. The Omnibus Act did away with that. The cut off was then put at age 16. The REPS program is what the REPS application with…

Just Got A Copy Of My Ortho C&p............
And, if any of ya STILL think that they are "there for you".....then I gotta a bridge I wanna sell ya! How many times have y'all seen in BVA decisions, for example, where a vet got turned down on a claim of secondary connection from their RO for, say, lower back or knee or hip arthritis caused by "antalgic gait" due to a service connected ankle, foot, pes planus, etc., where the BVA either corrects it or remands it to the RO to correct it. Happens all the time. Just happened to me. I'll quote from the examiner's opinion: First of all: REASON FOR EXAMINATION: The veteran is claiming new service-connected disability for bilateral hip, bilateral knee and lumba…

Compromise With Varo
Just a general question. Sometimes a DRO will speak with a SO on a multi-issue claim and ask what will satisfy the appeal. (EXAMPLE) Now if a veteran does not have a SO, would it be appropriate for the veteran to submit a statement and tell the DRO that approval of, for example issue one and three would satisfy the claim and all other 6 issues would be withdrawn if issues 1 and 3 were awarded ? I have a veteran who has 10 issues on appeal. Two of them, which I am sure he will win at the BVA based upon his medical evidence, will result in an award of 100 percent. The other 8 issues are valid and will probably succeed, however, they are small non life threating …

Trying To Help Husband Get Silver Star He Was Put In For But Never Received
Hi everyone, I am trying to help my husband acquire the silver star that Captain Frank Brinson (kia 1/5/1970 in Cantho, VN) who died in my husbands, put in for my husband. There are several written accounts of a herioc act that my husband did to back this up however I do not know who to contact and Cpt. Brinson is gone. Any help here would be great as I believe this would help him greatly as he still suffers from this tramatic event and since Brinson was so close to him and he was the one who put my husband up for it, it would mean the world to him. Thanks so much, Donna Stephens for Lance (Buckwheat) Stephens 8/69-6/1970 Cantho, VN Copperhead squad, 162nd AHC

Svr Show For 24 Oct 07
I tried to tune in but when I went to the home page I could not click on the "listen live" button. It just would not work. When I hit the button that says if you are having problems click here it would bring up my player (winamp). However, the telcast according to the winamp player said "talking with hereos - 091607". This seems as though I was listening to a previous telecast. Guess I am stupid as this should have been an easy process but........ The one I heard had Filner first and then Mike - was this the live show for tonight? Someone please tell me what on earth I did wrong and why the listen live button would not do anything. Thanks

Blue Water Navy
http://bluewaternavy.org/ You can access and join their new BWN forum via the link to the discussion board at this main site- I am hoping I can attract many vets there to hadit as well as help vets here find the info they need at this site and the new forum. Blue Water veterans with AO disabilities are receiving unequitable treatment from the VA. Some of their claims will have to be rated and awarded under the Haas regs (I hope) but these regs were only VA case Law for a short period of time. If Haas does not succeed in the fed circuit- I dont know what steps that Blue Waters will take at that point- but I do believe they will aggressively continue the fig…

Around The Mulberry Bush I Go Again With The Amc
Greeting to all, Well, Here I go around the Mulberry Bush again. I thought that I was getting somewhere with this AMC claim. The Rating Specialist had my claims file exactly one year ago this month to go back to the "two psychiatrist." It went back to her/him again. I was told that the " Rating Supervisor" had the claim to sign. Not true!! The Rating Specialist turned the file over for more information. Berta was correct. The letter by my doctor sent April 2006 was not present in my claim and neither was the letter by my Pastor, per the request of the remand. This is why my doctor received the last letter to which he sent his fouth letter to them.…
