Copy Of Iom Presentation In Early June To The Disability Commission
Copy of IOM presentation in early June to the Disability Commission Hi to all, Been working on my appeal some and down some so those that have been asking that is why nothing new. Below is a link I posted on the IOM presentation in early June to the Disability Commission. _http://www.2ndbattalion94thartillery.com/Chas/IOM.pdf_'>http://www.2ndbattalion94thartillery.com/Chas/IOM.pdf_ (http://www.2ndbattalion94thartillery.com/Chas/IOM.pdf) This pretty much confirms my initial report of the IOM slamming the VA and its internal processes hard. Now what does that mean to us in the fight? Probably not much since our own congress cannot get the VA to…

What Is The Time Frame For Receiving $ After Disability Rating Decision Is Made?
Hello All, I am a first time user to the board and had a newbie question. I am wondering how long it takes for the DRO officer's office to process a VA Disability Claim judgement? I received my new appealed rating of 40% from the Appeals office over 3 months ago and still nothing. What is the normal time frame from the DRO's office? I have now waited a total of 55 months since I started my first request. My disability rating was raised from 20 - 40% and I am wondering how much longer I will have to likely wait. Is there any way to speed up the process? Thanks in advance Paul

Lumbar Pain And Bilateral Ankle Pain
I have a question about a rating on my back. On the 4 august 2006 I was increased to 20% on my lumbar area of my back, for 10% as it says your evaluation was assigned based on previous VA examination showing painful motion of the lumbar spine. Your 20% evaluation is assigned on evidence showing spasms resulting in antalgic gait. On 7 march 2007 the evaluation of degenerative disc disease, lumbar spine, which is currently 20% disabling is continued based on VA exam report that forward flexion was limited by pain to 40 degrees. The question is the 20% for forward flexion to 40 degrees the same as the 20% for 20% for painful motion and the spasms resulting in antalgic gat…

Cue And Service Connection
If a vet filed a CUE based on issues to do with their initial decision for service connection back 36 years ago could the VA call a CUE on themselves and sever service connection. I understand that once a vet has been SC for 20 years the VA cannot sever SC unless their is fraud involved. When I got my denial of my CUE the VA was making noises like my initial decision for service connection was not correct even though 36 years have passed. In an effort to shoot down my CUE the VA re-interpreted my entire decision and re-interpreted the reports of both my doctor and their doctor. They used information that was not even in the record at the time to do this in a half-ass way…

Purpose Of Disability Pay
Just wondering what is the exact purpose of disability pay? Is it so the veteran has some kind of income to live on or does it pay back for quality of life problems? I have read both reasons and would like to know. I think it should cover both reasons regradless of ages of the veterans and where they are in life even retired. Not too long ago all we got was a tax break on the off set of disability pay. I heard everybody in the US Government except the military have always been paid both retirement and disability pay. Thanks

ptsd C&p Wording
After going over my C& P Exam for PTSD. I noticed that it was administered by a Psychologist should it have been a Psycharist? Also can someone advise as to the meaning of the following statement. His loss of interest in previously enjoyed activities, conflict in his marriage, and inability to care for his grandaughter, ARE ALL AT LEAST AS LIKELY AS NOT DUE TO HIS PTSD. Is this a good or bad finding Thanks again to everyone Rich

Filing For Iu
Im filing the IU form 1-8940 that the VA sent me. I applied for 3 different jobs in the last 6 months even though my doc told me I could not work. I never even went on any interviews. So do I list these jobs I applied for or do I just leave this area blank. My doctor knows I applied and told me to stop being in denial that I will never work again. Thank you P.S. I did look for the answer all over the hadit forum first but couldn't find it.

diabetes Blue Water Navy-ao-
The Haas decision- with claims in a moratorium as of this date (June 23,2007) and with a brief filed recently by NVLSP with the federal court) is one of the most important decisions the VA has ever made. Haas was Law of the land for a brief period of time. NVLSP is fighting along with many other vet orgs to see that Haas again becomes law of the land. However-this is not the first Blue Water claim that succeeded. In Johnson V. Principi , Mrs. Andreas Johnson, represented pro bono by NVLSP, received DIC due to Blue Water AO death of her husband. NVLSP stated before the HCAV on May 22, 2007: “The legal briefs filed by Mrs. Johnson’s attorneys challenged t…
