Sinus Bradycardia, Cardiomyopathy
My question I guess is there anybody else out there that knows about this and have you filed a claim for it. I had shoulder problems about my third year in the Air Force. I went to the base clinic and complained about my shoulder. It did not hurt all the time but I was weak and fatigued not to mention constipated but they never made a relationship to my heart even though my heart rate at times when I was complaining was down to 52, 56 beats a minute. I got out and went to the VA hospital in fort lyons colorado and they showed on the ecg or ekg that I had sinus bradycardia. They never did an ecg on me in the service even when I got discharged or this would of showed. …

Procedure When Service Records Unavailable
M21-1-3 Claims Development PROCEDURE WHEN SERVICE RECORDS UNAVAILABLE a. Although VA will do all it can to assist the claimant in establishing entitlement to benefits and to make a thorough and complete effort to get the veteran's records, the ultimate responsibility for furnishing evidence needed to perfect the claim rests with the claimant. b. The claim must remain pending until a definitive response is received from the service department. If the service department indicates that it cannot locate the service records, inform the veteran of what evidence we were unable to secure and the efforts made to secure the evidence. Then make a decision on the evidence of recor…

diabetes Osteoarthritic
Hi everyone, I don't know whether this has been discussed here or not but I tried to find it but to no avail. Did you know that Osteoarthritic is listed as a cause of carpal tunnel syndrone. I read "In fact, most studies now strongly suggest that carpal tunnel syndrome is primarily associated with medical or physical conditions such as diabetes, osteoarthritis, hypothyroidism, and rheumatoid arthritis. Perhaps those of you who have osteoarthritis and carpal tunnel and diabetes maybe this can be a link. What do you think, has anybody here on hadit heard of this, or have tried using it? Thanks!

diabetes Nexus In Smrs
This is one of my local vets. I got him awarded about two years ago- mega retro-----long time case------ His rep brought him to my home. I had limited info but had managed to access this BVA case and fortunately it was his because he forgot to bring all of his stuff- http://www.va.gov/vetapp00/files3/0029422.txt This was for SC of diabetes but not AO diabetes. The Nexus is in the BVA decision- one single word that no one bothered to even look up to see what it meant. I couldn't wait until they left to delve into this word and what it meant-a few hours later --- it meant service connection! I will buy the VBM for the very first person here who…

Getting An Imo
This has come up before and I am probably repeating what I already posted but it pays to re state again. Please add anything I forgot- Format of an IMO. The IMO (independent medical opinion) should contain the following: A statement as to the specific area of the IMO doctor’s expertise that renders his/her opinion medically valid and appropriate to the disability claimed. Any speeches or written treatises referenced etc that the doc has done that also support their expertise in the field of the disability. A statement as to what medical records the doctor used to include the SMRs and any other available records pertinent to the claim. A medically sou…
