ptsd Iu &50% ?
Some of the things I have been reading hear on hadit doesn’t make since to me especially concerning my case. I made detailed report on my case on 1/18/07, which I won’t go back and repeat. It’s several pages back if anyone wants to read it. Here is some of the things I don’t understand. 1 I have an appeal on ptsd to the bva from June 05, I’m 50% appealing to 70%. This was suppose to be handled at the Huntington ro. 2. I have an nod on my right knee filed 6/20/06. 3. I filed for IU several months ago. We haven’t had a rep. in this area for over a year, so I called the one in Huntington which has his office in the ro. He was glad to help and bought me up to date on…

What Is The Problem With The Appeals Management Center?
Hi everyone, Finally at last, I have my administrative, (personnel records) at the Appeals Management Center in Washington, D.C. remanded by the BVA. The AMC had specific instructions to secure these records and search for any other possible medical records. ( They cannot stand that I secured my complete set of Psychiatric Records in 2004 and turned in copies to the R. O.) It has been a battle since that day. Since 1978, I have watched the R.O change the name of my filing from nervousness, headaches to anxiety with depression to " acquired psychiatric disorder." In 2003 I was denied service connection for anxiety with depression and awarded a pension 100% fo…

Champva Denial
Strange denial of benefits letter I sent them evidence of 100 percent p&t for active service. they replied that my wife could not get benefits because I am service connected under 38 code 1151 The letter stated that the Indianapolis regional office indicates that the disability was a result of VA hospitalization. Strange they have not let me know that I have finally won my 1151 case. Are they just playing games with me or do you all think there is a win coming my way? Leroy

Champva Entitlement
I have read somewhere that when a P&T Vets' wife gets Champva she can file to receive refunds for her medical expenses retroactive to the original date of her husbands qualification for P&T. Is this correct? Can anyone point me to the pertinent regulation?

Our Cola This Year
Wasn't our COLA 3.2% this year? If so, why did mine, a single vet with no dependents or SMC, go from $2299, last year, to $2471, this year??? $2299 + 3.2 % should be $2372, not $2471. Could the VA or treasury be overpaying us $99 a month? Maybe I better start putting it aside for when they come looking for repayment. Just curious. Someone please explain? pr

Va Back Pay
I was med. ret. on May 1, 2005. In June 2005, I got my 100% findings letter from the VA, and July 1 i had my first deposit. I was told by the VA person when I was setting up my initial direct deposit that my July 1 payment is essentially my benefits for the previous month, which would have been June 2005. for the month of May I only received my navy retirement check of like $700. Should I have received backpay from the VA for the short month of may minus the navy payment? Seems like they owe me $1600 (based on the 05 rates), or does the VA not consider paying someone for the month that their med. retirement happened? Scott

Mri Changed In Three Years
Three years ago, shortly before retiring, an MRI was don on my back. The MRI showed that I had three bad disks (1 herniated, 1 degenerative, 1 bulging). I have been having increased back pain for the last three months. I was sent to physical therapy and that made the condition worse. Pain is now going down my legs. I had an MRI done last Thursday (same place that did the first one, civilian) and just got off the phone with my doctor's office. I was informed that the MRI does not show any problems. I guess a miracle occured and my back ailment was cured. Unfortunately, the pain was left behind. Anybody have any ideas?
