What To Do?
I am just looking for help. On SSDI, cannot work, pain back, neck, legs and feet go numb, on meds, for high colesteral, night sweats, depression, and flashbacks, that I cannot control, even with my family. Went to SF camps and the Tiger Div., a lot of mortor and small arms, I was a Medic!, preventive, getting the bugs that were around would not harm our fighting BROS. I am sorry that I did a good job to get my job done, only to let the lead kill and wound so MANY.

Why A C&p Exam At This Stage Of The Game?
Yesterday I receive from the Dallas VAMC a notification of a C&P exam being scheduled for me. Part of it states: "Due to the complexity of the Exam(s) be prepared to stay most of the day." First of all, it's been THREE and 1/2 years since my claim was filed. I opted to go the BVA route. The BVA remands my claim to the AMC, etc. In the BVA Remand it states "Have a VA physician review the veteran's claims file, including the service medical records (which are in a manila envelope) and provide an opinion at the the following question: Was the left ankle condition aggravated beyond the natural progress during the veteran's period of service?" Now, I don't mind h…

Bean Free Books For Disabled Veterans Offer
OK here the deal. A really good guy named Jim Baen passed away recently. Prior to his passing he had discussed with several of his writers about making their books free to disabled readers, specifically disabled veterans. I guess after he passed his authors picked up the ball and carried it as a memorial to him. Kinda tells you how much they thought of him as a person... since they ALL agreed to it. So, ANY disabled veteran can log onto www.baen.com and following the instructions sign up for their program. You dont get hardcopies of the books, but you can download them for reading on your computer or a thing called an ebook... I have several of them (I use a REB…

Volunteer Background Check
As an unpaid VA volunteer I was fingerprinted and ran through the FBI-for complete background check- it never bothered me a bit-that was in the late 1980s and since then- due to other gov jobs I had one or 2 more background checks-County job with school system etc- and I also was again given extensive FBI background check for my daughter's Top Secret clearance- once for her military MOS and once for her federal TS position-high level security clearances these days involve checking everyone but the family cat. I feel this is something anyone as a VA volunteer should willingly accept- a FBI background check- and the finger prints-just my personal opinion- even …
