Help With New? Claim
Fogive me if I'm not posting this properly, I'm a newby here. I am a Vietnam Era Veteran of the Navy. I was injured while in the service, I crushed a disc in my back and I have a fairly bad hearing loss. At the time that I crushed the disk in my back I went to sick bay and the corpmen refused to send me for further examination or treatment. No x-rays or any doctor was ever seen about this. At this timethere were many servicemen trying to get out of the Navy by feining back injurys. It wasn't untill about a year later that I was in the naval hospital in San Diego for bleeding ulcers I underwent an upper GI and the radiologist that was reading the xray results questione…

C-file And Srm's
Hi, This may sound dumb to you guys. I have received copies of my C-file and SMR's but they do not contain anything that you speak of. When I received my adminitrative records from the archives, all military medical records were at the R. O. What is susposed to be within the C-file? Do you receive a copy of your private medical records that you have turned in to the Va. at an earlier date? What I received was mostly dental and eye checks ups and transfer from one duty station to another. Not much else was included. The records of previous filing for benefits were not within the files. Thanks, Josephine

Where Do They Get This Stuff
Hello: I am still trying to figure out this Letter of " Reasons for Decision" Right now i'm so confused after reading and re reading this stuff that i'm not sure what to do with it. POINT: 1, Service connection for degererative disc diease, lumbar spine. The service medical records show no existing back problems at the time of enlistment into active military service. On March 27, 1991 treatment is shown for a single episode of back pain. Physical examination revealed moderate pain to the right side of lower back. You denied any radicular symptoms. Motor strenght to the right leg was reduced to 4/5 due to pain. At that time you reported a history of a low back inj…

ptsd Runaround -delay Or Just Sluffing It Off?
Berta, I moved this topic to a new post so we didn't hi-jack Jim's PTSD post.... Also, I took some snipets of your post and pasted it here. Berta stated, This is another thing I dont understand Jangrin- In the beginning of 2006 my AO claim went through numerous hands at the VARO- from January to July- appeals team, predetermination team, in and out of rating board, Dro to coach, back to adjudication, 3 authorizations on three different days- supervisor ,coach, and then rating again- and then to my POA----at one point in March an 800 vet rep who always seems on the ball told me it looked like I would have a decision in days-he said the 3 signatures showed it ha…

December 6th Vba Judge Expects Answer
Hi, Sorry to be such a nuisance, I spoke with the AMC and was told that my file is with the Rater and keeps going back to a Superior for guidance or whatever they do. The Judge at the BVA is expecting the answer to my claim on December 6th. Does anyone know, what is next. The claim should be winding down, too many errors and too many years. The hardest thing to get the AMC to tell me that my claim is re-opened to 1978 due to New and Material Evidence. If I should win, being that the Va. issued me a Pension stating 100% disabled due to anxiety and depression as of 1983 and unemployable. Can they rule any less than the 100% which have already given …

ptsd Opinions Needed Please
Just to refresh: Rated 50% PTSD. Was sent IU form with rating. Filed NOD to be decided by DRO. (Hoping for 100% or 70% with IU) Sent letter from myself, sister, mother & wife. Sent proof of meds and side effects. Letter from present Psychologist treating me states: PTSD chronic, major depressive disorder, recurrent, severe without psychotic features. Gaf = 40 (current). Says I have a service connected disorder which leaves me totally and permanently disabled from employment. The severity and chronicity of these diagnostic patterns creates occupational, social and emotional dysfunction at a level indicating poor prognosis for improvement. (Sent this lett…
