ptsd Huntington Ro
Berta, Josephine, and any one else who wants to jump in. First: what is a formal 1-9 form, and what is a cavc, Just when I think I'm catching on to this lingo I'm hit with another one. Berta I think the first time I spoke to Dr. bash he said I could have my whole case appealed to DC court of appeals, and He could have it docketed within three months. He said they didn't have that big of a back log there. From reading your's and Josephine's threads I am assuming this form-9 must be the way to get it out of huntington to DC. Is this correct or not. I am not positive thats what Dr. Bash, so I will call him again and make sure. I think he told me if I had it mo…

Suspicions Confirmed!
From BVA congressional testimony on the CVAC judges’ retirement program in 1998: Judge STANDEFER. I might just explain very briefly our organization. And that is, we're divided into four decision teams, and the four teams are: Board members and their support staffs—that is, the attorneys who help them prepare decisions; out of my office then, we have what is called a Litigation Support Unit, the two are separate—that is, the Decision Teams are separate from the Litigation Support Unit. Our General Counsel's Group 7, from time to time, in defending the Secretary of Veterans Affairs before the Court will consult with our litigation support unit seeking advice as to the …

Imo
I have two questions reguarding an IMO. I know this one has been here before, but for some reason, the search feature does not work for me. What all needs to be included and the format? And I kinda thought of this and thought I would ask it for other opions.... Since most drs. are too busy just about to spend time needed on patients, I was wondering if the IMO could be written by ones self, and the dr could read over it and sign off on it. Would this be the same thing as the dr. sitting down and writing it him or herself? Thanks, sbrewer

Cancer Smoking And Asbestos
Hi everybody! Been busy as heck -- teaching 10 classes this semester and taking 2 classes! Ack! Am working on my husband's claim - fiding additional supporting evidence. I ran across this today. It might be useful for someone else who is filing a claim for lung cancer / asbestos exposure -- who also smokes. The base doctor had noted in my husband's medical records on two occassions that he had an 80 times increased risk of cancer from smoking / asbestos combined. He declined writing an actual "opinion" --(was going to and then said the base attorney said they can't) but we are still pushing the "opinion" DOCUMENTED in the medical records. So have been loo…

ptsd Did I Screw Up?
Rated 50% SC PTSD Doc stated serious impairment to social and employment, suicidal ideation, mood disorder etc etc etc. Unemployed since 2004 and gaf rating of 48. Was sent IU form with rating letter. Immediately appealed for 100% and returned IU form along with letters from wife, mother, sister and myself. Also independent doctor`s letter stating I was severe PTSD, totally & permanently disabled and unable to ever work again. Gave me a gaf score of 40. A very reputable doctor. My question is did I screw up sending back the IU form they sent me because I don`t have at least a 60% disability rating? I was told by someone today I`ll be denied because of that. I …
