Arteriosclerosis
When I went in September to get a CT scan of my left leg for a lump I had on it the scan showed arteriosclerosis in my calf. The VA doctor said nothing to me about this. I went today to a private vascular surgeon and he was quite concerned and ordered an ultrasound for me. I have DMII and I have a positive family history for amputations of the lower extremities. The VA knows this and they did nothing. Just one more reason to take your care into your own hands and run don't walk to a real doctor if you think you have a problem the VA is not addressing. I filed a claim for service connection for the arterioscelorisis secondary to DMII. I am more concerned about los…

100% Disability
Hi Everyone, The question I have is: if a person has their sc knee operated on how and when does he get 100% disability? The reason I am asking is because I know of a Vet who had his knee operated on last week, and when he called the VA this morning they told him that the only way he can get 100% disability for it, he would have to drop his appeal for that knee. Is this true and if so why? Thanks!

hypertension For Vets With Sc Heart Disease
Theis information is now into effect for Vets with Service Connected heart disease. Diagnostic code 7101: The VA directives now state that Hypertension is to be rated separately from heart disease. They have been short changing Vets foir years by combining these. If you are SC.d for Heart disease and have Hypertension, You need to ask for a separate rating for the Hypertension. Note (3): Evaluate hypertension separately from hypertensive heart disease and other types of heart disease.

Bad News From A Friend
One of my buddies from Vietnam emailed me today and told me he went to the VA ER today and they told him he was having congestive heart failure. He is 20% For DMII and the VA has low balled him on everything else. He is worried he is going to die. The VA doctor had been treating him for months and telling him not to worry about weakness that it was just DMII. I think he should sue this miserable bastard. Now he is in heart failure and his heart is full of fluid. What is his best course of action. I told him to see a real doctor outside the VA and file for service connection for the heart as secondary to the DMII but he is very sick. I was telling him about survivor…

Anybody Know What This Means?
Sent an inquiry via email to VA about the status of my I.U claim. Got back an email saying they hve reached a decision and I will get the notification with two weeks. DOES ANYBODY KNOW IF THIS IS VA speak for approval or denial?? Followed up with a phone call and was told the claim was having to be "authorized" and that could take upto three months. DOES this response indicate anything in VA speak???? Thanks

Alex
Alex, I can't contact Clark so am looking for a Lawyer who is as capable as him. My E Mail is gdsnide@hotmail.com I think this one is easy as I can get VA Doc. opinions & maybe will get a couple of IMOS. Right now it's at the BVA & will get in touch with a Lawyer when I get my Denial ( Which is what I expect) from them. But, since then have come up with a lot more ammunation. lol Like using Lawyers as their win rate is way over a Ssingle Vet trying to do it on his own. Thanks, GARY
