ptsd Iu And Voc Rehab
If I get my 100% PTSD or IU can I get voc rehab. I am unemployable because I can not deal with people I have random outbursts of Rage. I would like to go to school and learn Computer programming this is something I could do at home and more than likely become employable again. There are courses at a State school that has the courses online. Would this be allowed as I am not employable now in the workplace but I believe I could be productive from my home with some education. I really don't want to retire I would like to become Gainfully employed. Thanks in advance

C&p Eval
Fellow veterans: Hi to all. I had a C&P Psych eval recently and the Doctor was extremelly interested in regards to my alcohol use and my preference for "dark" women.(??????) She asked me less than 5 questions...one was, and this is no joke... to spell Bob backwards, another to count backwards from 100. She had no knowledge of the computer program she was using, so the computer guy came in the office at least five times interupting the interview. I explained to her some strange thoughts I had after taking some meds..and she replied,,,"If you are going to kill yourself you bettter have a good plan, I've heard a lot of bad plans lately from Veterans. I can give you…

Vets Disability Commission Benefits
I went into the commission's website this morning and looked at the bio's of each member. Interesting reading. I was surprised to find out that Rick Surratt was a DAV SO for 13 years in Roanoke, Virginia. He is also a life member of the DAV in Salem, Virginia. Both of these cities are not very far from where I live. I don't know anything about him, but do know quite a few people who are members of this DAV. I am going to ask around to see if anyone knows much about him. After all, he is one who voted on this SSDI review and this could essentially have an impact on my husband. Of course I don't want to jump the gun as he may be one of the 2 who voted against the …

Disability Commission
Are we falling asleep on the issue of the commission proposing to off-set SSDI income that also pertains to S/C disability ? Are the large organizations stepping up on this or governors, congress anyone with some clout ? Do we need to be making massive phone calls and sending in petitions to block this ? I see on their web-site they will be voting on it May 19th. carlie

Another Housebound Question, But Not Yet Tdui
Since my last two strokes, I have been receiving home health care visits for occupational and physical therapy. I also still have several more appointments at the VAMC. The Nuerologist sent me home with a letter stating that "by law, I am being reported to the Department of motor vehicles as a danger to myself and others by driving. I had a stroke while driving to an appointment. I did not lose conciousness, have a wreck, or anything close to that. My RSO has said that I will probably receive a letter from DMV to surrender my license. Question: The VAMC is 70 miles away, C&P exams are another place 60 miles away, and I have numerous appointments until lat…

ptsd The Day For 2 C&o Exams, And I Get A Free Ride In An Ambulance
Well, the day arrived for my GM C&P exam, and the Neurology C&P exam. Just out of the hospital for another stroke, my name is called to go in for first exam---- SH___!! another stroke in the Dr. office. Off I go to VAMC instead of getting either exam. I thought I had every possible bit of information and evidence needed (thanks to you folks at hadit). Okay, get this: The Dr. said she will respond to the requests as far as GM and Neurology exams are concerned if I will only agree to go with the paramedics. (I wasn't so easy to convince that I should abandon my place in line for a 911 run). She stated she had enough info in my C-file to do the job. HEMMM…

(AP) -- Wisconsin veterans would be eligible for free tuition at University of Wisconsin campuses and the state's technical colleges under a bill Gov. Jim Doyle is expected to sign. May 19, 9:27 PM EDT House Conservatives Cut $500M Off Vet Bill By JIM ABRAMS Associated Press Writer WASHINGTON (AP) -- House conservatives, rejecting protests from fellow Republicans who said they were depriving troops of needed support, stripped $500 million in military construction projects from a veterans spending bill Friday. Democrats blamed GOP-backed tax cuts and a tight budget passed two days ago for creating a fiscal crisis leading to the cuts, most of which were for new facilities at various military bases. The bill provides a 10 percent increase for veterans programs. "I don't know why they (the troops) should be stuck in the middle of a fam…

Dental Work And Audiology
VA says they are going to do my dental work but I have to wait for dentist #2 to decide what kind of restoration I need. I got the referral from my regular peridontist today at the VA. I still feel that I am not quite on solid ground yet with these VA dentists. They have me waiting two weeks to get the word. Why cannot they just tell me what I need like my regular civilian dentist who takes one look and says this is what you need and I can do it next week. I got a referral to audiology also. I am having some hearing problems. Is there anyway to get VA to consider it for service-connection? Are their magic words I have to use. I know how tricky these guys are. I …
