ptsd The Ro Asked Me To Apply
for a job as a QA for appealed cases and such! I was tempted but then thought of the 1+hr drive each way. Don't need the hassle. Also just met a Marine Vet 68-74 who either put in a claim back in 75 or went for medical attention at the local VA hospital and was told to go away. He is in my opinion a very good candiate for PTSD, and neumerous other issues. So he is going to bring his files and such over and we are going to see what is what. Will be interesting and fun. He is a home builder/carpenter who is doing work in the house for me. Told him when the claim goes through he may just owe me a big dinner:) Naw, just want to help him out. He deserves it. …

Letter From Va
Got a letter yesterday about my C&P request. It said my claim is at the rating board and if I want a copy they will have to pull my file and it will delay my claim 6 months. It said for me to call them and let them know what to do. This is so weird. I've request this C&P 3 times. First was sent back saying it was to early, second I got a phone message saying I had sent it to the wrong place, now this response. Only thing I can figure is they have denied my claim and don't want to hear me complain. This has been so nerve racking. Think I should call and tell them to hold off?

All Togeather?
Well,I wrote to you about my Brother before. What the VA give him was a Pension, not comp. at all. They gave him 10% for hearing loss, but had to give him hearing aids,so that he could hear his Doctors told him. But he cannot get both,so they give him Pension w A@A, $596.an he gets SSD. He is completly Blind in one eye, because of the Doctors refusing to send him to Houston, instead they continued to put tons of drops in his eyes, causing his eye to turm soft-very painful. When they did allow him to go to Houston, the Doctor over there told him that they(DRS.) should have sent him to see her from the begaining! All she could do,was operate an cut in back of His eye to rele…

30% C&p , Drill Pay & Retired Reserve Pay
Hi All, I was given 30% C&P for peacetime injuries for my call up for Operation Enduring Freedom. I have and atill am a Army Reservist. I plan on doing a NOD, but that is a different stoy. My questions are: 1. How odes my drill pay effect C&P pay. I make more as a reservist, so I know thta I would want the drill pay. SOmeone told me thta my unit must tell the VA the number of drills I do and any annual training thta I do and since I make more that than the $377 (30% C&P) I basically would not get any C&P? On a weekend drill of Sat & Sun which is 2 days the reserves pay's you for 4 days. So does that mean 48 days a year the Va subtracts ou…

ptsd Dic Denied
I was so disappointed to get my letter of denial for dic benefits. I have been denied due to Service connection for cause of death. My husband had Chronic PTSD and a disability of 50%. He was fighting for a 100% and died with a heart attack first. I will file a NOD to appeal this decision. I had a death certificate stating the heart attack was caused from PTSD. I have also asked the VA to reconsider the disability to 100%. I really need this dic benefit due to me being disable myself. If anyone has any good advice I sure would appreciate it. Best of luck to all.

Social Security Vs Va Disability
If you are expecting to receive 100 % schedular from VA, is it worth it to also begin the Social Security roller coaster? Does SS provide additional benefits or dollars even for those who receive 100 % from VA?

Partial Ratings Grant
Received a letter from the Appeals Management Center saying two of my claims has been approved and allow 90 days for payment. development of the other issues in the remand won't begin until those 90 days have passed. Has anyone heard of this or is this something new? I've never heard of such. I hope not but I 've just got that feeling my remand is going to end up with the (remand kings) at the RO Columbia SC. We all know remands are supposed to be expedited. My last one was at the RO for two years. Expedited, huh? Been waiting six years now. Guess all I can do is continue doing what I've been doing all along. Cursing and talking about the way things shoul…

ptsd C&p Examination
I have been helping a buddy of mine with his claim for service connected comp. WE asked for the following: PTSD, Hearing loss, tinnitus, and exposure to agent orange. He has had his C&P examination for PTSD ( went very well and in the examination report it definately says he has PTSD--service connected for actions in the NAm). He is now scheduled in April for AUDIO C&P, and an hour later is scheduled for ( this is the confusing part ) " COMP-GEN MED- (name of doctor )-VAOPC Clinic". Does any body have an idea why he would be seeing " GEN MED " on a C&P examination? One other question: Has anybody herd of Agent Orange being responsible for BLOOD CLOTS. …
