C&p Exam Felt Like Meps
Well went to the physical part of my exam, the mental appt is tomorrow. I have Leg/hip pain (IT BAND) from exercising as recommended by my military psych doc to help with anxiety. I also have ulcers (anxiety and pain meds for IT BAND), I also experience muscle twitching. My visit to the C&P doc really felt like a slight over view of the issues. He hardly talked about the IT issue, moved my legs a bit, almost like he was afraid to touch me. He measured my hip rotations and then I went for xrays and a ekg. (palpitations). I also had cbc bloodwork done. Took about 3 hrs total. I don't know how doing what he do he could determine anything. The exam felt really superfic…

Filing A Nod Advice
I was awarded 20% for my cervical fusion and 10% for my lumbar in which they didn't even mention my thoracic which i have been seeing doctors for. I totally dis agree with the C/P examine because first I didnt even know it was a C/P examine until I got to the VA so here i am on anti-inflamatory and muscle relaxers getting my exam because i thought it was my annual check up. The doctor explains to me that she is new to giving C/P examines and i think i was her first. When doing the ROM she forced my head down with her hand causing me pain and popping like chewing on gristle to get the measurements she wanted. Allot of the measurements were eyeballed and most of everything …

Wtf - C&p Pre Exam Paperwork
I retired last Fall and filed for VA disability compensation. I just received a big packet of forms/questionaires about each of the conditions for which I have applied. The VA is using a private facility (QVC) to contract with doctors to perform exams I guess. Anyhow, my C&P consists of seeing two Docs. One for the physical problems (IT Band Syndrome, Ulcers, Fasiculations, Benign Breast Neoplasms, and facial skin cancer scars) my second appt is with the Psychologist (GAD, Panic Disorder, Depression and OCD). I am confused about the mental health appointment, I have already been diagnosed with GAD and Panic Disorder which is in my records and documented. The quest…

tdiu C & P Results
I just got a letter from the DAV, and it's not official but they are just letting me know in advance. The question I have is the following. This is right from the letter. 1. A decision on entitlement to compensation for erectile dysfunction due to depression medication is deferred. 2. A decision on entitlement to compensation for depression claimed with Chronic pain is deferred. 3. A decision on entitlement to compensation for right knee condition claimed due to left knee is deferred. I just don't understand this. Also I will be retiring in 6 months can I ask for Individual unemployability now or do I have to wait till I retire?? I am according to t…

ptsd C&p Notes From 4/22/10
Ok everyone, I went to the VA today and got my papers from my recent exam. This will be alot of typing, so bear with me my mispellings. I'm going to Pass through some of the past stuff and just get to what he saw in my exam. Frequency, severity and duration of Non-PTSD Psychiatric Medical Symptoms: Generally, his mood has been down and depressed, he is not sure why he is down other than some troubles at work. Has had issues dealing with people in the place. Feels nervous much of the time, as well. Legal History? No Educational Accomplishments? No Description of Marital and Family Relationships: Trouble getting along with his wife. "I get on her nerves, I guess" Te…

C & P Twilight Zone
You have now entered the C & P Twilight Zone... A journey of sight and sound........ Has anyone ever had a really weird C & P exam??????? I went yesterday to my C & P after applying for an increase from my 10 % SC claim for my back. I made sure I went when I was in pretty bad pain. My back has been hurting pretty badly for the past month. I did not take any meds so that the examiner could see how much pain I was in. This examiner made some, what I believe to be, inapropriate comments. He told me it didn't matter how much pain I was in I could get no increase at all & that some people have a higher pain tolerance than others. He told me I …

C&p Bad Rating
My C&P examiner told me she was new and I was her first C&P patient, I put in for a claim for my cervical (3 level fusion) and my low back and forgot to mention my thoracic. I was given a rating of only 20% for my cervical and 10% for my lumbar. During the examine the Dr. pushed down on my head forcing it to get the measurements she wanted causing my pain and grinding like chewing on grissel. The answers she put down are mot my answers to her questions. I am getting ready to file a NOD as soon as i get all further evidence and a accurate range of motion from a chiropractor. For what i have read on the forums I may have several separate claims i can file for my pro…
