Iu Question
Hello all. I have a claim in for IU and it was in the prepare for decision phase then back to gathering evidence. I received a letter stated that they needed my last employer info but I haven't worked in 4 years 9 months(5 years). My last company went bankrupt so I wrote a letter stating that. Also, I found an old boss that filled out the form for me. They letter stated that this info was needed in the next 15 days. If not they would make their decision at least by nov 20 2013 if not after the 15 days. If anyone can chime in, is this the last step of a IU rating. Thanks

ptsd Still Waiting, Claim Transferred, Still Waiting
So, in checking EBenefits, it shows that PTSD claim open since 08/2011 (granted 05/2012 with TDIU deferred) has been shuffled to Philly, where supposedly they have a lighter claim load. However, it has been sitting there for 2 months, with a new notation that the claim is VBMS (completely electronic). It seems sorta ridiculous to me that the claim would be sent elsewhere just to sit there too! The VA can't even claim that it's lost in the sauce because it's electronic. This claim is nearly 2 years old, and I wonder if they restarted the timeclock on the TDIU (05/12) just so they can let it sit and gather dust until 2014. SMDH!!!!

Not Understanding
Ok I am expecting my mental health to be raised to 50% current medical is 10% not sure if it is going up yet or not will have to wait and see. Social security has me at 100% partially on my SC and partially on other. The other is loss of use of my left arm which my VA neurology doctor says was due to a CVA in 2008 documented in my records. I am not sure if once all is finalized I should go back on the medical or just file for unemployable in part due to the Mental health doctor who did the C&P stating [X] Occupational and social impairment with reduced reliability and productivity. Any thoughts, suggestions???

ptsd 70% Ptsd/ Filed For Iu/ Vcaa Letter
I was awarded 70% ptsd in December 2012. IU was inferred since I was 70% and I sent in the IU application in April 2013. I just received a vcaa letter and got a call scheduling me a new C&P for a "PTSD review". I assume that's for IU or to increase my ptsd to the 100% rate. I have not worked since leaving the army in Dec 2011. All my retro from PTSD was dated back to Dec 2011. Question - The vcaa letter stated that during my previous C&P the medical examiner saw I sustained a bloody nose in an IED attack on my military medical record. It asks if I am claiming anything for that. I am not so I just checked the box that all my evidence is complete an…

First many thanks to all the Hadit.com Contributors and Users. I do not even like to think where I would be if I did not have access to read and research topics. I suspect much worse off... ptsd Younger Age, Tdiu, P&t
Will the VHA deny a younger aged Veteran P&T TDIU for PTSD? Especially, if that Veteran meets or exceeds all the precursors or could this be "age discrimination?"

tdiu Tdiu Questions/lost In Process
So I'm 80% SC at rates of 60%,20%, and 10%. My VSO is the VFW and they sent me a VA form for TDIU with everything filled in and I just signed it. It just stated that I haven't worked since my last deployment and they with my Dr. visits and low GAF I meet the requirements of the federal statute. So my original claim took over 28 months to get settled and I got a rather large retro, regardless how long does a TDIU claim take? Will I need another C&P? What information will they want? Is this like a new claim or will the start date go back to the original filing date? Really some good advice will help me out.

tdiu Inferred Tdiu Question-Should Vet Be Given Notice?
Is the VA supposed to tell you that you are being evaluated for a TDIU claim if you did not apply for it but they are inferring it? A family member was denied TDIU but he did not know he was being evaluated for it. He was rated at 30% went for an increase, got 70% and in that decision they denied him TDIU. Does anyone know if they should have given him notice, sent him the Form 21-8940 or anything like that? On the topic, I found this: 1) 38 CFR 3.155 – Informal claims provides: (a) Any communication or action, indicating an intent to apply for one or more benefits under the laws administered by the Department of Veterans Affairs, from a claimant, hi…
