  1. Aggie54 you are right. One of my arguments with my doctors has been that i have always prided myself in being healthy and strong mentally and then to be struck with PTSD/MD feels like all of my control has been taken away. You can not explain it like you can a physical illness. so i stopped trying. it feels like a dirty secret. know what i mean? But, with my God i can do all things. I love using my brain and being productive. I am so thankful that I will never have to worry about my livelihood and now I can earnestly focus on getting some sense of normalcy back. I can't wait for that lady to sing chi-Ching money's in the bank. LOL WE ARE SURVIVORS!
  2. TestVet, thanks for your sound advice. You are so right. People/Family I thought loved me and would have my back, showed me their......... I almost lost my mind fighting for this and struggling with PTSD at the same time. Once I acknowledged out loud that I needed help, seemed like the dam broke and flood gates opened up and I got worse. And I don't know how to close the gates. Darn! I CAN NOT fly Space A?
  3. I copied mine for my records. I have my lab and XRay results before the doctors due via myHealthevet. One of the few resources which give me no problems.
  4. PERMANENT & TOTAL YOU GUYS! Got my ID card today. VARO says Retro Deposits were released last night at 5pm and it takes up to 72 hours. Computer Tech, thank God I had my ID and social security card, but I still had to go to the VA office on post and get Statement of Service Letter because I didn't have my DD214. I also got my Commissary Letter. WHEW JESUS!
  5. I was able to view my C&P Exam in myHealthevet within days. Rare, it seems. And, as I just experienced, Rater has the final decision. Examiner said my migraines and sinusitis had not worsened BUT I WAS INCREASED TO THE MAX FOR BOTH YESTERDAY. YAY! You have come to the best site in the world for ALL VETERANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Woo Hoo Richj CONGRATULATIONS!
  7. VSR is on the job! - AB3Commissary Letter - AB8 Letter 100% Combined: PTSD 100% from 50%; Migraine 50% from 30% (C&P examiner said not worse); Sinusitis 30% from 10% (C&P examiner said not worse); high BP 10% no change. NOTE: thanks for the trick to find out what's been rated, by starting a new claim in eBenefits. Where were you guys 15 years ago? Just kidding. - ID Card Form 1172 available - STATUS BACK TO REVIEW EVIDENCE for Hyperthyroidism, Metatarsalgia (imbalanced gait) and GWI - Dependency still open. - No Retro Pending/Posted yet. Approx $30,000 - Monthly $3,152 from $1,293 w/o dependent. ($3,348) - The fight continues. SSD denied. Awaiting hearing, but I have an OTR in (On The Record Review) to hopefully get a decision in lieu of a hearing. WHEW JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.............
  8. Thanks everyone. Chuck75 Yes I am definitely on top of the fiduciary mess. C&P exam states I can take care of my responsibilities and I made sure I asked the Rep about that yesterday and she confirmed. Next post Complete and money in the bank Jesus! So ready to exhale! Not real until the fat lady sings, right? This little lady will sing to the mountain top soon!
  9. I just got the call! (With disclaimer). Claim complete! 100 % PTSD+ SMC. Retro Feb 1, 2012. I do not know where that date comes from. Original filed Oct 25, 2010 Completed Dec 23, 2011 50% PTSD, 30% Migraine, 10% High BP, 10% Sinusitis (70% combined) scheduled another exam for migraines. Then P&T, she said. I knew C&P examiner had it wrong when she said they haven't worsened. Can't wait to see what SMC is for. GWI issues had been denied previously and no exam was scheduled this time. Estimated completion by Friday. She wants to get my money to me ASAP. Gave me her phone extension at VARO. I am numb. I can't wait to post end results. Thank you my comrades and Hadit.com brothers and sisters!
  10. I saw that from you this weekend and I kept reading thinking it didn't feel right. You know us soldiers, sailors and marines have "stupid" written across our heads. This claims experience has taught me I have so much more fight in me.
  11. Congress approved new legislation allowing VA officials to award one-year retroactive benefits from the filing date, as an incentive for veterans to use the FDC process. Fully Developed Claims, touted by department officials as “the fastest way for veterans to receive a decision,” require veterans to provide all relevant documentation, such as medical records and personnel records, before handing their case to the VA for review. They are usually done with the help of a veterans service organization. VA officials say compiling those documents is the lengthiest part of the ratings process, and that FDCs average well below the department’s goal of 125 days to finish cases. The department has taken harsh criticism throughout 2013 for its disability claims backlog. As of last week, more than 500,000 cases were pending for over four months. That’s down more than 100,000 cases since March, but still more than double what the backlogged case load was three years ago. The new FDC incentive only applies to first-time claims from veterans, and not any supplemental cases or appeals. VA officials said the incentive will be available for any FDCs filed starting Aug. 6, 2013, and lasting through Aug. 6, 2015.
  12. Woo Hoo Hallelujah! So happy for you. Guess I should stop turning my phone off! LOL
  13. It is actually saying if you are enrolled in VA Medically Center and at your 100% you meet regulations which will take effect 2014. You do not have to do anything, you have full coverage at VA. That's what mine says. They are being proactive because time is drawing near for mandatory coverage of everyone.
  14. I received the same "form letter". Not a direct answer to questions.
  15. CONGRATULATIONS! Thank God and exhale! :-)
  16. Claim moved from Pending Decision Approval to Pending Decision Notification since 2 Aug today! So excited. Been praying hard for positive and speedy decision! I appreciate all of support, advice and prayers! stand with me and pray for Permanent & Total 100% decision now, in Jesus' name. Amen.
  17. Woohoo, CONGRATULATIONS! I needed to hear/see some good news for someone on here! God Bless!
  18. Probably time to take a break from hadit, eBenefits, myHealthevet, Peggy and Paul (800#), etc.
  19. Been doing this since 1997. If I wasn't "disabled" I could conduct some of their sessions without a degree. LMBO
  20. Thanks pete992, I'm aware of all of those. Van is only allowed to pickup wheelchair bound. It's up to driver if they take you home. Most do. I have to take a taxi to pickup point and ride bus to outpatient clinic. My point is that VA does not have enough mental health professionals and the ones I've had/have do not seem to be trained for PTSD. I just get so overwhelmed with nowhere to turn because PTSD/MDD is only understood by the ones who deal with it. Everyone thinks you can just make up your mind to feel better. And if I respond they way I feel, especially to the doctors, they want to label you with aPersonality Disorder. I even told my Primary Care that and she agreed. Little Witch that she is. LOL.
  21. I swear I've gotten worse since I reached out for help and I can't figure out how to get it back under control!!!!!!!
  22. I am done. Nightmares increasing again, getting to where I'm checking over my shoulders when I go out, bill collectors driving me crazy, 70% barely pays bills, over drafting to make ends meet, haven't seen therapist since May, no appointments available before September, no female therapist available at VetCenter right now. I've done everything I can. Sick of VA, politicians and everyone else lying about help being available. This is enough to make a person breakdown. I don't have any family here. Even if they could get me in to therapist, I don't even have bus fare! Lord, I didn't make it to 52 years old to fall down now!
