  1. Right. I know my nurses were PA at my C&P Exam this past Saturday. The nurse doing the pre-exam even offered to submit a prescription, she noted needed taken care of, this Monday. Not one of my C&P Exams over the years was ever performed by an "Independent Medical Examiner". But, who are we, when the federal system knowingly breaks their own regulations and guidelines. Guarantee their attorneys have an answer for the loophole. I'm just sayin'
  2. Blue button. Allows you to download/view your medical records, doctors notes, labs, etc.
  3. I am so, so sorry. Please continue therapy at VA, if possible. They know and think like VA requirements. Truly made things easier for me. And I definitely could not afford outside treatment for anything at 70%. So, I know where you're at. I was denied my first go round for TDIU. I too filed immediately upon receiving 70%, keeping in mind two things: the form is sent automatically to everyone who reaches 70% and (most important) I knew my PTSD was 100% alone because I had come to terms with my disability. You feel me? Never give up. This process has taught me how much fight I still have in me, even at my lowest. We all know this is a battle! Dig deep soldier. Research, study, go to therapy, research, study, go to therapy and fight..................... I'm just saying. :-)
  4. If I am correct. They have been instructed not to ask questions reference family upbringing and to focus on service connector stressors. Before, this was causing issues with PTSD diagnoses. My first exam included family history and they opinion end that I was depressed before enlisting and that active duty stressors worsened it. That used to be their loophole to deny or minimize claims. That taught me to NOT discuss family. Then a year later the government changed guidelines and streamlined questionnaire. First exam was several hours. second for increase was maybe 15 minutes. Hope this helps and isn't confusing.
  5. No, I'm saying, if you get a rating and still have some claims to be decided........start (do not complete) a new claim. As you follow the steps, your undecided claim contentions will show. Once you see them, stop the new claim and delete it. This is a trick one the very experienced members here taught us. It works! I've done it twice. Just be sure not to complete new claim application. You don't want to throw off your progress. Know what I mean?
  6. Don't know if you're claiming PTSD. If so, only a VA Psychiatrist can diagnose PTSD Service Connected (C&P Exam) . You mention that your "private" therapist is also VA affiliated. You must seek treatment at a VA Facility for better and faster claim results. Otherwise, you may find yourself seeking/paying for an IMO later. The more experienced members (Carlie, Hardyman, etc) may guide you. I am a veteran speaking from current experience and current changes as far as PTSD requirements.
  7. Ooh I have goose bumps for your blessing! Congratulations!
  8. You made me smile! Congratulations !!!!!!!..........
  9. Congratulations! I am waiting for On The Record Review decision from social security in lieu of hearing. I pray my recent 100% P&T plus SMC helps.
  10. Correct me if I am wrong. SMC is awarded two ways: - 60% combined over one diagnosis of 100% (my current status) - and/or Percentages based on additional disabilities above 100% (my open claims could be rated from 50% to 100% individually), i.e. GWI and post surgery issues (previously denied). If it weren't for hadit.com, I wouldn't know what direction to go!
  11. I am hear you and I understand. Before last effort at claim, my family begged me to come home so that they could help and support me. As soon as I got there, I was treated like an alien, treated like shit by some. My faith got me through. Now my blessings are none of their business! I know who was there for me through my struggles and it certainly wasn't my family OR who I thought was my BFF. But God I say. Amen.
  12. I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH THAT YOU CONTINUE MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING AT VA AND BE BRUTALLY HONEST. My approval for increase for PTSD/MDD (new) was back dated to a month after my original 50% date. I went from 70% combined with 50% PTSD to 100% P&T with SMC for other disabilities. Retro for Compensation and COLA! KEEP IN MIND EVERYONE'S DISABILITY LEVELS ARE DIFFERENT. I AM NOT DONE! Just want to be a ray of hope.
  13. Update! I have been bombarded with calls from VA C&P examiners for previously denied GWI Claims and specialists for ignored medical issues my PCP and Specialists trying to attribute EVERYTHING to PTSD. Example: I was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism in 2008 (now know symptoms were manifesting as far back as 1991), definitive diagnosis of Hyperthyroidism/Secondary to Graves' disease 2011. Undiagnosed (with only TSH Panel test) 2012 by different Endocrinologist. Suffered like hell since to present. IS IT JUST ME NOTICING SOLDIERS AND VETERANS WITH THYROID ISSUES? Did everything to get help. Left it to God for my sanity. Now everyone is hustling to get me in to Specialists: Cardiologist, Endocrinologist, OB/Gyn. Then our comrade HARDYMAN, posts that General Hickey is pushing Dependency claims AND eBenefits is showing awesome improvements in its updates. Even with its glitches. I SEE THE LIGHT COMRADES. BACK BLAST AREA CLEAR! LMBO!!!!!!!! AND THANKING GOD!!!!!!...
  14. WOW. Congratulations! We are using what the Armed Services taught us, that is to STAND STRONG!
  15. Money in the bank today! I was on my last dime literally ($8.00).
  16. My VARO is Nashville. Exam mid May. All final this week. My Retro deposited today!
  17. Scott2120: my PTSD is from "Personal Trauma". I assure you there is no judgement here. No one needs or wants to know details. There are several extremely knowledgeable members here such as Carlie, Berta, Hardeman and Johnn999, to name a few who will guide you in the right direction and we all have your best interest in mind. Hadit members are so supportive and loving! This is a safe haven, which has helped me as much as my Therapist, if not more. I say this because Hadit (we) are available for one another 24/7 and I don't even see my therapist monthly where I am. It's been three months now, since my last session. Hadit has seen me through both personally and by reading other's posts. WE ARE FAMILY HERE. I TRUST AND HAVE FAITH IN HADIT AND RECOMMEND THIS SITE TO EVERY VETERAN I KNOW FILING ANY TYPE OF CLAIM. HADIT.COM SHOULD BE RECOGNIZED NATIONALLY AND PUBLICLY FOR IT'S GOOD WORKS. I didn't intend to be so long winded, but felt I needed to reassure you.
  18. That is awesome! I commend you for fighting for your parents! Well done!
