  1. Thanks and happy holidays to everyone as well. I have to correct this post as far as my status goes. I read all of the letters and it states I am 100% P&T with no future exams. The only thing I can't understand is how they gave me a effective date of December 1st 2014.
  2. I applied for TDUI back in May of this year and yesterday my claim was completed. They granted me 100% P&T and I must admit I didn't see this one coming. Keep fighting the fight and never give up because we never know what might happen. I wish everyone luck with their current situation.
  3. Congrats! Its good to hear good news concerning the VA sometimes. As we all know the system can be confusing and disappointing but if we hold on and keep fighting it pays off. Good luck to you and your family. Take care
  4. I checked ebennies yesterday and my claim is complete. I downloaded the letter and it says veteran has has a combined rating of 100%. That was the only letter posted so far. Just in time for the holidays.
  5. claim shows complete but ebennies is down

  6. Congrats and it should be a good Christmas your way. Take care and good luck on your next claim as well. Happy Holidays
  7. Thanks! I will go ahead and put a claim in for it and just see what happens! Good advice everyone.
  8. The sleep diary is a small electronic device similar to a watch and it measusures your heart rate and the brightness of lights in the room and it stores in in the watch for one week and they retreive the info and analyze it.
  9. Thanks for all of the advice. I seperated from the military in January 2014 and i didnt have a diagnoses for it so I didn't claim it. I did a sleep diary in europe in 2012 for a week and it said I has severe snoring and that was it. I never did the sleep study until Oct. 2014 and.thats when I got diagnosed with sleep apnea. I have another study with the machine today.
  10. Should I apply for sleep apnea now in a separate claim or try to connect it as a secondary condition to TBI and PTSD. I have another study scheduled this week. I am currently rated at 90% by the VA and I am on SSDI. In May of this year I filed for TDUI and my claim is currently in the Pending Decision Approval phase as of today. I did a sleep study in October 2014 and it was confirmed that I have mild Sleep Apnea. Sleep Architecture: The patient had a sleep efficiency of 90%. He was studied for 384 minutes of total sleep time. Sleep latency occurred at 4 minutes and REM latency at 234 minutes. He was awake for 39 minutes after sleep onset. he spent 33 minutes in REM sleep, of which 13 minutes were supine REM. He was studied for 175 minutes of supine sleep. Sleep distribution was 1% stage 1, 79% stage 2, 10% stage 3, and 9% REM. Respiratory Parameters: The overall AHI/RDI was around 6.5. The REM AHI was 19. There were 5 central apneas, 31 obstructive apneas, and 4 hypopneas. There was definitely a positional component. His supine AHI was 12, and his left-side AHI was normal. Leg Movements: The PLMS index was 19.4 which was borderline. Snoring: The channel recorded 128 minutes of snoring, and the technician noted moderate snoring. Arousal Parameters: There were 51 total arousal giving an arousal index of 8. Diagnoses: Mild obstructive sleep apnea overall with a strong positional component. Moderate snoring Recommendations: The patient will be scheduled to undergo an in-laboratory CPAP titration study to assess his clinical response. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  11. I use to think that if you are already receiving SSDI and rated at 90% that it would be a slam dunk as well. I have only been separated less than a year from the military and I was awarded 90% the fist time around, so I submitted a claim for TDUI. They increased three conditions which put me at 93.56% rounded down to 90 which is what I currently have. The other three condition such as Tbi(headaches), PTSD, and Prostatitis were all deferred as of now. I am currently at 70% PTSD, 10% for headaches, and 20% for prostatitis. It was very confusing because the claim showed complete online but when I called the 800 number it was showing Gathering of Evidence on their end. All of a sudden they are waiting on items from the VAMC in which they have already received my medical records. I got diagnosed with sleep apnea in October of this year but I am waiting to submit a claim because I don't want it to slow my current claim down. I'm just waiting to see what happens next with this frustrating system we are all a part of. Hopefully everyone get what they deserve. Good Luck.
  12. Glad to hear from you again and that you are ok. I have been just running around back and forth to the VA for various health problems. I hope that eventually your issues will calm down a bit and give your body a well deserved break. Sometimes I feel like a race car with my heart racing so fast for so long throughout the day. Hopefully I can get things under control as well and we can all look back on our lives in the future and say that we have endured a powerful storm but the waters are calming down now. Good luck and keep us posted.
  13. It could also be a income issue as to the amount of money that was made for the fiscal year. If you get rated at 100% I would reapply again before getting a lawyer and give up your funds for nothing. It seems common that most of us get denied the first time around for SSDI and then submit or obtain new evidence to prove our case but you already have a strong one here. I got approved with a 70% rating from SSDI and my C&P examination wasn't as favorable as yours. A lot of things depends on the person who is reviewing or over your case file as people differ. Good luck and this is just my experience and opinion. Good Luck
  14. I spoke to the doctor about feeling woozy or feeling like you got up to quick from lying down. It is a side effect but it should ease up once your body get use to taking the new medicine.
  15. John If you log into the myhealthyvet.va.gov you should be able to track delivery of your medication if they have been shipped out already. Click on pharmacy and then refill prescriptions and you should be able to request, track, and check on your meds. I have been having the same issue for months now but they are starting to get better at sending meds to my home. I wish you luck and hope the info helps.
  16. The way things are looking and sounding would be a good attempt from anyone guessing how long it will take. My claim online said complete but when I called the 800 number it was in the pending decision approval phase as of 2 weeks ago. I checked earlier this week and now I am back into the Gathering of Evidence phase, so it varies from day to day. I just found out that they are requesting more information from the VAMC in which I thought stands for Veteran Affairs Medical Center. They have already received records from there every since last month. If things keep moving forward in your favor I would say a month or two but keep us informed if things changes for you. Good Luck
  17. I will check out www.va.gov momentarily. I am receiving SSDI for service connected disabilities and I also made sure it was known on the TDUI form that I filled out back in May. Here is a list of my rating: 70% ptsd 20% degenerative nerve joint disease 20% left shoulder superior glenoid labrum lesion 20% prostatitis 10% lower back nerve damage 10% cervical strain 10% right patellofemoral syndrome 10% tinnitus 10% tbi 10% left ulnar neuropathy The ptsd increase is continued The prostatitis increase is continued The increase for tbi and headaches is deferred
  18. I have a few questions that I hope someone can enlighten me on regarding my claim. I am currently rated at 90% and I haven't been employed since January of 2014. I am currently receiving SSDI as well and the award date was January of 2013. I tried to go back to work a few times but decided it was causing more harm than good so I applied for TDUI in May of 2014. I finally received a letter that increased three of the conditions I listed as causing me not being able to work. The other 3 conditions were denied or continued whatever that means. My claim said that it was complete online and now all of a sudden it is back to gathering of evidence as of yesterday. I checked to see why and now it is saying that they requested records from a 3rd party called the VAMC. I was thinking VAMC stands for Veteran Affairs Medical Center but the VA has already requested and received my medical records on November 3rd of 2014. My questions are what could be the issue to where items get deferred or continued? Second is their something I am missing between a VAMC and a VAMF. Is their anything that can be done to hopefully speed up the process because I am not going to be able to stay out of work or survive on our current income. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  19. I will probably be going through the same situation as you are in a bit. I had a sleep study done back in October of this year and I was waiting for the results and now I have another sleep study in a few days for some reason. I have obstructive sleep apnea and some type of restless legs syndrome or something of that sort. I am curious to see why I need to do another one already and not being told why. I am not sure what % you will get out of this but it has you diagnosed with sleep apnea which is what you want. Good luck and I look forward to seeing what the results are in your situation. Take care
  20. I filed a claim back in May 2014 for TDUI and I received a letter yesterday with a few increases for disabilities that I felt was keeping me from being employed. Three of the items that I put in a claim for has been deferred and I am not sure if I am understanding everything correctly. Has anyone else ever had anything deferred and what was the outcome of their overall decision? Thanks in advance and any advice or knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
  21. I go a letter in the mail today stating that my TDUI was deferred. My claim on ebenefits stated that it was in the preparation for decision phase on last week, then it went back to gathering of evidence. Well today I got a letter giving me a few increases but it also stated that TDUI is deferred and now I have another C&P for some reason. I am not exactly sure what this means but I am hoping to hear something soon. Seems like everyone situation is very different when dealing with the VA.
  22. How long ago did you put in for Tdui before you got denied?
  23. AS of last friday my status was in the preparation of notification phase. I checked this morning.tosee if any updates were done and i'm baxk to gathering of evidence. I thought the Va had eveything but now i have another C&P exam schedule d in a week.
  24. Claim status just hit Preparation for notification today so hopefully I will hear something soon.
